  1. @Nick W858 Nick you are the gift that keeps on giving, another one I didn't have thanx matey 👍 🐀
  2. @Mark6pot Great write up and pics Mark no need for hang ups on owner numbers as like you it's all about condition condition, and yes matey in isF circles yours is a car with history in more ways than one, huge number of pictures and videos of her back in the day. Including this topical snow one ☝️ Big Rat
  3. @Nick W858 No I didn’t Matey thanx for that, that’s number 160 now only 50 odd to go 👍 Have a great new year 🐀
  4. @Womble72 Glad you had a good time away and have yourself a good new year as well Matey, working me to first thing in the morning to honest I don’t mind a good customer, he paid me before he went to St Lucia for 4 weeks by private jet 😳 Take care Paul 🐀
  5. @moonraker58 Henry know that road like the back of my hand having lived and worked around there it's the A350, so we're the same age albeit with different cars the sensations are the same for us all so here's me recently behaving just like you briefly of course......... Big Rat
  6. @Womble72 Hi Paul literally this afternoon flicked onto 46k, so to commemorate this auspicious occasions I was just coming off the M5 onto the A370 dual carriage way time for the second intake fanfare........ Big Rat
  7. @Flytvr Our resident snapper man does it again............. I've tried to emanate him with my Kodak 110 instamatic but alas........☹️ 🐀
  8. @malcolmw Of course I fully understand that, I've had the pleasure of extended test drives in bother the V8 and the hybrid and thought they were cracking cars, in their own way. IMO the LC is without doubt one of the most striking cars available for sale today and if Mrs Rat were to say to me go on never mind another property to refurb................. now there's two chances of that happening......... and you know both ☹️ Big Rat
  9. @Nick W858 Just the right spec IMO, Nick there is a lot more to sports chrono that the clock, it enhances all the drive modes chassis gearbox steering etc, important addition to have. I agree with the wheels and the bose is ok, Black they do look good in it but the dirt 🙄 Important to have the software updates on the gearbox, never owned a pdk car had many as service loan cars I like it. I take it yor aware how many Porsche dealers can take the warranty rules to the enth degree ie.... OEM Batteries fitted by them which are not a good quality but only there’s can be used......££££££ And Porsche ‘N’ rated tyres is another moot point. But all this will pale into if significance when summer comes and the roof is down 🐀
  10. @Nick W858 Nice little write up Nick it would be great if you did stay with us dipping in and out, we are all for cars at the end of the day and quite frankly at times who cares who the manufacturer is as long as you have the warranty 😂 You are right that particular exhaust is an absolute must I'm sure I can speak for others can we have some pictures please ? Id be interested in the extras you wanted as well, the resale Porsche market is a feckle place ! You keep that warranty going don't want that Porsche Paranoia setting in without it 😁 🐀
  11. @mike m Don’t start @Flytvr off on Volvo’s he gets all sweaty palmed and clammy anyway they are nasty cars look at this poor innocent criminals car being eaten by one 😂 🐀
  12. @Flytvr Probably best leave her there, anyway I think your Volvo needs one these 😉 🐀
  13. @mike m @Warrington guy Mike and Dave here is great article from back in the day from 'The Rat Archives' this is when CAR MAGAZINE ran an isF as a long term test vehicle...... a good read IMO especially the snow section. http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-reviews/long-term-tests/lexus/lexus-is-f-saloon-long-term-test-review/#IS-F in the snow Big Rat
  14. @Warrington guy Dave we never seem to get it down here either on the 'Seven estuary Rivera ' Mind you coming back from Brighton on Boxing Day we had rain and I mean rain 😳 🐀
  15. @mike m Ah yes the joys of powerful rear wheel drive cars 🐀
  16. @Warrington guy Dave snow mode will make very little if any difference to the handling of the car, all it will do is perhaps give a little more traction when moving off from standstill by dialling back your speed/torque when moving off. 🐀
  17. @rayaans Not true as someone who spent sometime as a tyre development driver for Michelin on high performance and winter tyres there is irrefutable evidence of the effective s of these tyres in winter driving conditions, including ice may it not have been your excessive speed in the conditions, with regard to your own admission of the temperature and speed you were travelling at. Not a bad little video to show the 'ice' effectiveness of winters. Big Rat
  18. I'd Still have an Rcf, unless the Lc's drop to the 40k's in the next 12months Big Rat
  19. @mike m Thanks for doing that matey, there is a huge benefit of having some safe controlled fun like this as it gives us that sensation of what to do as when we may need it in an emergency, and or when the back steps out in the wet. 🐀
  20. @mike m Mike a lot of us can't watch footage on that format any chance of chucking it on YouTube and doing a link ? 🐀
  21. @Nick W858 Sorry to see you go Nick I came from 911Turbo to the isF, all itches have to be scratched did the 911 thing working my way up through the range Carrera, Gt3, Turbo wouldn't go back personally, but 2 things I'd say enjoy it not matter what others say......... and keep it under warranty with Porsche as unless it's a gt or turbo car, or a gen2 the engines are are not known to be without there major problems. If yours is an S then it's 3.8 they sound lovely with a sports exhaust 🤓 🐀
  22. @Toothy David watching with interest, I noticed my inners wearing a bit at 39 k increased pressures at front to 47 and rear to 44, although rear never an issue tyres now 2.5 years old and covered 23 k in total. Rears 5mm across full breadth. Fronts 4mm across full breadth except innermost 3mm. AND for me most interesting the fronts have not worn on the inners now for the last 6k miles, since increasing the pressures. No discernible loss of ride quality or handling in wet or dry, and slightly better steering feel especially on turn in . So for me going to stick with standard..... for now. 🐀
  23. @Flytvr Now who’s being technical 😂...... it’s um......er...... Oh I know ‘ You only Lexus twice ‘ 🐀
  24. @Toothy Are you going to try out various pressures or simply go with the handbook ones and see what happens ? 🐀
