@mondie That's a good point Simon, the parts dept at Bristol have been helpful when I was sourcing stuff for another member who resides overseas, his car is registered twixt the various updates but they were able to establish which were the relevant parts for the car. I would imagine as I've mentioned to @Rusty Crobar above it would be a nightmare and an expensive one at that to update an earlier car to an updated spec, not something I would consider. Big Rat

@Rusty Crobar Russ in all honesty it would probably be cheaper having regard the costs of parts and labour, simply to change the car for a later one, a diff alone - even if you could find one - sold on the Aussie site a while back for nearly 2K. Anyway yours has still got at least another 100k in it before a suspension refresh 😂 🐀

Found this very informative article regarding the updates the isF had to its steering and suspension for 2011 onwards. @Corrado I think you are right about this I've got the chassis number year of manufacturer of the updated ones being fitted which was at the beginning of 2010. Big Rat

@TigerFish Sorry to hear this it's such a shame that something as impressive as this has its life cut short for what ever reason, now I know nothing about them but by coincidence the last two days I've been working on the roof of a customers house and he has a pond in the rear with a fair number of them in there and 2 in particular are massive. Square area the pond is only about the size of a couple of baths but it's 3.5 metres deep. Big Rat

@Wellsey As always patient pays off, there are very very few inherent problems with these cars which for just adds to the joy, they rarely go wrong but as always with 60k performance cars parts are expensive. One area to check is the water pump, they weep they do not fail as such but it's worth checking to see if it has been done needs changing it is covered by Lexus warranty. If it isn't it's about £400.00 to get them to do it. Ive had my car 18mts it's a 59 plate and like yours had done 30k when I bought now on 42 I love it hadn't cost me a penny apart from servicing, I got the car from Lexus along with a 3 year warranty I didn't go with the service/mot package at that time as they were not for me, the warranty well for me as good as they are I will not run these vehicles without one. But of course it's down to personal choice you can buy 2 years for I think it's £895.00 I could be wrong. They really are a car that I feel gets under your skin I've had over 40 performance cars over the years and have never kept a motor this long. Big Rat

The Alcantara lid is this item I believe, so your part number appears correct but checking the fitment section it only fits MY cars 13/14. Big Rat

@Peter P18 Peter I'm just waiting for a materials delivery, so I thought the best use of my time is to do some isF research. Seriously though I'm going through all the threads on the Aus site to see if I can get some more info on this will report back 👍 Big Rat

@mrfunex Stuart I've seen these on one or two later cars on the Australian isF site, cant seem to find the thread at the moment, as an addition I do remember that it was quite popular to swap out the cig lighter and tray for a padded sunglasses compartment and this too is a genuine Lexus part like this....... Some comparison figures . Nissan GT-R 637 lb/ft . Mercedes C63S 516 lb/ft . BMW M5 620 lb/ft The latter 2 are 4.0V8 twin turbo, the Nissan V6 Twin Turbo. Oh and they all way as much as a fully loaded 747 😊 Big Rat
