  1. @Flytvr That's it I knew it comes from a University based education..... unlike what I nowt got innit 😂 🐀
  2. @Stazza80 Good 'spot' matey were slowly on the up 😁 🐀
  3. @Flytvr Hey stop spreading vicious rumours those nasty Lexus people in the warranty say no 😕 Dont you ever read any of my hugely interesting fantastically funny immensely informative posts and updates 😂 @Dar Don't listen to him his car isn't standard anyway it's a 08/09 interior hybrid 😂 Big Rat
  4. @Mattmech Ah right know the car now believe it or not but I have the complete OEM exhaust system from your car in my workshop! Big Rat
  5. @Mattmech Well done matey another couple of years trouble free motoring, seems I'm only left with the cat back exhaust option for now, you've probably mentioned it before but who's system have you got? Big Rat
  6. @Flytvr Ere how come they knew I was 5'8" down the phone then 😂 🐀
  7. I find this aspect curious as other members mention for instance, non standard parts fitted to cars that are on Lexus main dealer forecourts, went to view a car that had non standard discs and pads, they were of the groved type like newer 'F' models. Big Rat
  8. @dougie175 Precisely what I asked them to elaborate on, the example I've been given by them is 'For instance if there was an issue with vibration that could be attributed to another component associated with for instance the electric steering rack that would invalidate that component ' New rack 3.5-4.0k a member on here has had one for instance. Big Rat
  9. @Arqum Arqum there seems to be conflicting advice on this coming from Lexus and dealerships I've waited for a confirmation in writing from the dealership who have again spoken with LEXUS WARRANTY AND YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT IT WILL INVALIDATE IT. So where does that leave us, I'm going to err on the side with caution and opt out - for now until such time as my warranty expires, I think it's it shame as they do on the whole seem to be a proven upgrade. Having started this I am quite happy to run the the thread with interested parties being forwarded to @Peter P18 @Toothy I've added you to the list 👍 Big Rat
  10. @Mark G Thats correct @Peter P18 is going to negotiate a discount for a group buy of 5 sets or more. 🐀
  11. @dougie175 No probs Matey give it some thought if you think it's for you let me know and I'll put you on the list 👍 Big Rat
  12. @dougie175 It is a strange one but most ISF's seem to suffer with it on my car for example it's a 59 plate had 4 new bridgestones standard size. These were fitted at 27k it's now done 42k, 4mm left on rears across the full breadth of the tyre, 3mm on the fronts but in the last couple of weeks both fronts now devoid of tread on the inner sections. Ive seen it on a 62 plate with 16.5k miles, it's a very large bush that seems to be susceptible to forces on it that allow this unfortunate wear. Ive not read anything negative about them on either the American or Australian forums where a lot of them have been fitted, yes they are a firmer material. Big Rat
  13. @Arqum Ok matey 👍
  14. @dougie175 Apparently not common to the iS and Rc so I've been told 🙁 Big Rat
  15. @kieron1977 Yes it does look great, got a lot of family in the Somme/Albert region they are all farmers some fantastic properties which they all have built themselves over some 400 years and costantly rebuilt through a number of wars ! Rurally still a country that has a lot going for it in the cities I'm not so sure 😕 Big Rat
  16. @Mattmech Right you are Matt added 👍 Big Rat
  17. @Arqum Arqum do you already have a set or do you want me to put you on the purchase list ? Big Rat
  18. Oh by the way the motor looks pretty good as well 👍
  19. @kieron1977 Nice pics Kieron is it your place or a rental, being a builder always fancied doing a refurb on a rural French pile, unfortunately Mrs Rat isn't in the loop can't think why after all I've only bought and lived 44 over the years 😂 Big Rat
  20. So many of us suffer the inner front tyre wear on our ISF's my self now included, it's costly and unnecessary. For those who have read my recent research on the MOT history of nearly 120 ISF's it's clear that most if not all will eventually have this problem. Ive looked into the Lexus OEM replacements but they are no better than the originals. Ive looked into the cost of supply and fit of the Lexus item over the RR items and there is nothing in it. Its about £350.00 So I've decided to go the RR racing part route, all on here know about @Peter P18 and his car he is extremely impressed with them as are those on here who have driven his car. For those who's cars are under warranty still as mine is can check with their local dealer if it effects it mine have said it will not and I've spoken with the warranty people who say the same. My Lexus dealer will be fitting them for a little over an hours labour, you could get it cheaper elsewhere I guess but this is my chosen route. So having spoken with @Peter P18 he has kindly agreed to speak with RR Racing for the rate of a group buy of 5 or more sets so here's the list so far of those that are interested so far, clearly once agreed the monies need to forwaded to Peter in Full. @Toothy @Mattmech @Rusty Crobar @Dar @etienne1201 Just add your name here and for your info for those that haven't seen the full information here's the link. https://www.rr-racing.com/Lexus-Lower-Control-Arm-LCA-Bushing-p/isfxlca001.htm Big Rat
  21. @kieron1977 Not watching it any more...... my car stays standard..........maybe.........well maybe the exhaust and a few other bits 😂 Big Rat
  22. @JonP Thanx matey, good thing they never made tens of thousands of 'F,s though 😂 🐀
  23. @ThebigC Charlie the White London car, spoke with garage owner on behalf of another member who was interested in it, he to lives a long way off. The car is virtually one owner from new apart from someone who but it for 3 months and then had a change of circumstances, they sold it to him and then took it back in. More than that I don't know. Yes the USB car was nice, the Silver one in Jersey looks a beauty but a heck of a journey to say the least but I know for a fact there is a deal to be had on it, there is a thread running on it in the Jap section of Pistonheads as well as the member on here occasionally. Give him a shout and see you never know 😉 Big Rat
  24. @Warrington guy Dave it looks immaculate can't say I've ever seen one, like the fact it's a 2 door as well, where was the meet ? 🐀
  25. @Warrington guy Dave you could be right, but I suspect he's out now scouting his used car dealers trying to find one in fact this little beauty looks right up his alley ............... Stylish eh 😂 Big Rat
