@Stuno1 Yes for a complete dig out and finish in tarmac, which has got quite expensive of late to buy in. 🐀

@Stuno1The cost for the above did include a complete new drive which was £580.00 + the £375.00 for the council coffers, bear in mind I did all the work, a picture viewed from the road shows the tarmac continuation into the footpath and the decline to the car port a little better. 🐀

@tomRCFcarbon Yes I did say it twice old arthritic fingers on keyboard from digging out to many driveways 😂 If you zoom in on the pictures you can see where the new driveway tarmac is now part of the public footpath this ‘eased’ the angle so the car Didn’t bottom out 🐀

As someone who as part of my work builds driveways, in my experience it’s not the incline itself that’s problematic other than snow and or ice of course it’s invaribly what’s known as ‘The Crest ‘ which is usually that area between the public area and your property whereby the front or rear of the vehicle on negotiating twixt the two bottoms out or if it’s fairly acute the centre of the vehicle especially on something like a lower ‘F’ car. So to illustrate if you look at the picture above which is my last place my van would easily pass onto the drive and down the slope but not a car, so I had to reduce the angle twixt public footpath and driveway, these things are relatively expensive to do and council permission is needed. I got there quite early as they were opening up and was met by the DP and made to feel genuinely welcome, and the unforgettable Alex what a really nice guy....now I know I’m somewhat biased as he’s Greek and I’m half Greek but with that kind of boundless energy if he ever wants a change of direction and join the building trade......😁 Well done to all of them..... oh yes someone mentioned the great sausages I had to have 4 @Warrington guy Dave got caught on the M6 traffic......well someone had to take care of his share.......🤡 Oh and a quick pic of mine sat outside of Lexus Derby....... A few more, work necessities I had to leave early but a big thankyou to ‘Dan the Dad’ Lexus Derby and all that turned out. A fragmented day but who cares we all found the pub and a cracking location to 😁 Im definitely coming up this way again the scenery is just breathtaking, combine this with the lakes would be ideal. Don’t know if this will still be an issue for some if the problems continue but the M40 is shut due to serious Rtc’s all lanes on both sides, they have to do a considerable amount of resurfacing apparently, hopefully they get it done 👍 Big Rat
