Matt, did you get any further with your install?
-
From the WWW I've confirmed that for my gen 3 heater, the servo plate has to come off to remove the servo's from their drive gears (left hand side of the image). Which is a little different from the gen 2 tutorial I was following. Access is tight under the dash so one of these tiny ratchets turned up this morning, it looks great. http://cpc.farnell.com/rolson-tools/28910/driver-set-offset-ratchet-13pc/dp/TL13684?CMP=TREML007-005http://cpc.farnell.com/rolson-tools/28910/driver-set-offset-ratchet-13pc/dp/TL13684?CMP=TREML007-005 I hope to get back to 'open heart surgery' at the weekend, weather permitting.

Hehe, there are just a few bits spare. All in the name of saving a few grams!

Drat, you'll have to scroll back to the see the piggy back fuse pic. Sure, will do. Tony seemed like a decent chap on the phone and I've heard good things about his team elsewhere, so fingers crossed eh.

I've updated the link and it works in Chrome but not in Tapatalk, pfft.

Here, here. It's your car, so you tweak it as you see fit. -
Just managed to seal the alloys with a quick coat of Finish Kare 1000p. Which'll help with the weekly clean until I get the wheels off and give them a good going over.

Yes, on those points gravel is good. It's permeable too, so water drains away easily. The only drawback I find is that jacking up cars isn't really possible. You can at a push but it's risky. Not a problem if you don't intend to work on any vehicles. Oh and you can often loose small tools/screws/etc in gravel! 😂

Good point about the resin coated concrete if your drive is on a slope. Ours was on a fair slope and you had to be careful under foot in winter if you hadn't grit'd/salt'd. Once something had bitten through the ice/snow, it was fine tho.

Isf v Polestar Aussie review
Farqui replied to Big Rat's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Thanks for highlighting the article, makes for an interesting read. As much as I like fruity Volvo's, the v8 burble of the IS-F would get my vote. -
Thanks, I'm just trying to give the ol'gal the TLC she deserves. I still have a few items to address but we're getting there.

Just added a pic of the dashcam piggy back fuse inline at post #83 http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/110248-hunting-for-a-gs450h/?do=findComment&comment=984345

Pfft, I'll have you know that I fix squeaks and rattles. Had plenty of practice with other marks!

Haha, fair do's. Don't let me near your car!

Turns out the passenger footwell has only been blowing cold, making the Mrs unhappy. Before you ask...yes, we tried all options of Dual/modes/temps/etc [emoji6] So after surfing for solutions I dived in to check the servos I eventually tracked down the passenger temp control (passenger side) but with the fixing screws out, I couldn't get the servo out [emoji19] With fading light I decided to button it all back up and went for a quick test drive. What'd'ya know, the passenger footwell is now working! The only difference is that I taped up the ducting, both sides, to get a good seal from the heater core. Result. Tho the sceptic in me reckons it can't be that easy and that I'll be back under the dash before too long. Which is just as well as I have a few screws left over [emoji13] Never finish up a job in the dark!

Gave her a good scrub Including the engine bay, no treatment applied yet I didn't get a chance to seal the alloys tho
-
I fitted new mats today As the driver's side was kinda worn The Luxury version fits a treat http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252033676404

Crumbs, that air filter is in a shocking state Haha, old cars noisier anyway so isolating a squeak was nigh on impossible.
-
I applied some Wurth Gummi Fit Rubber Care Stick to all the door seals yesterday and I reckon it's quietened the car down even more (not that it was noisy anyway). So thanks to the forum for highlighting this new-to-me product 👍

Instead of block pavers have you looked at patterned/coloured concrete? We had it at our old house and it was great, no weeds grow thru it, nor do you have issues with block pavers sagging. It was cheaper than blocks too, a win, win.

Welcome to the forum Vince. A similar story here as I recently sold my dependable Honda and jumped on the Lexus bandwagon. Glad to hear that your initial impressions are positive, I'm sure they'll continue. Get some pics of your new car online, we like pic's.
