    Maybe the lock/unlock button combo is different for your model? I reckon I saw somewhere (US manual?!) that the reset procedure for my GS is press/hold unlock/boot release. I've not double checked the hard copy of my manual yet. Is your ignition off whilst performing the reset?

    Welcome to the forum. I've recently purchased a GS 450H and from cold my idle is kinda high but after a couple of seconds it soon subsides. It doesn't bother me, all cars do it to certain degree. Do you feel yours is excessive or something? Have you compared to another 450H? If I had a rev counter then I'd tell you what the fast idle was,l but instead we have kW meters. Sorry but my car doesn't have a USB plug so I can't help you there.

    Oh gawd that's not what you want to find. Glad the culprit fessed up tho, that's commendable these days. Paint shops may vary in their approach, some may focus on the damaged areas where another may recommend painting the entire bumper. I'd take it to a few reputable painters rather than a dealer, as the dealer is likely to add a premium and send it to the paint shop anyway. Good luck getting it sorted.

    Thanks Robert. I've not long had my GS 450H and it's good to hear positive feedback from another owner. I was sceptical about the CVT too, the press reports seem to hate them. I don't have any issues with it and with so much power on tap the engine rarely sits at high revs for very long.

    No mate, I can't recall what I had for diner let alone if my last set of pads had clips/etc LOL See if an internet search helps.

    Be careful positioning the front camera on the driver's side of the windscreen. If it is inside the wiper blade sweep by more than 10mm in zone A (above steering wheel) or 40mm elsehwere then it may fail an MOT. Much depends on the tester tho, so your mileage may vary.

    Some new pads come with clips/guides and others don't. If your new pads didn't come with new clips then the garage will have reused the old clips/guides.

    Epic write up there Matt, well done. I think I need to read it all again to take it all in LOL I managed to sneak cables in behind the trims/headlining without removing the covers. No doubt you did a good job and were also able to cable tie the new cables in neatly.

    Drat, pesky nail. Does the tyre hold air for long enough to drive to the tyre repair garage? I'd be very reluctant to use the gunk as don't they tend to clog up the sensor? If so, then you'll need to factor in the cost of a new sensor on top of the tyre repair

    Yes I agree that many derv's with DPF's are troublesome, though the 9th gen Civic doesn't seem prone to clogging/regen issues/etc. I believe Honda positioned the DPF nearer the engine and gets plenty of heat into it, whereas other manufacturer's appear to have simply bolted the DPF further down the zoorst to comply with reg's. The outlook for derv car is unknown at the moment and for the miles your mrs will be covering, a petrol seems the most logic option. But which one?

    That's right, floating disks/rotors have been used on motorcycles for years. Explanation; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disc_brake Don't confuse floating disks with floating calipers, they two are entirely different.
