  1. I saw one of these in person at the weekend and was surprised by the shape of the headlights. They don't blend in very well IMO.
  2. Andrew, I'm also in IT, mostly work from home and can relate to the reheat comment LOL. Insurance for my new (to me) 450H was also a little higher than i anticipated. You maybe right in the type of vehicle it is and key less entry. I hope my premium will reduce next year, wishing thinking tho... Cheers, Lee
  3. Nice looking CT, I particularly like the colour choice
  4. You had a lucky escape there, go grab yourself a lottery ticket !
  5. Nice looking F Sport there. Brake fluid is often changed more regularly on auto's/cvt's as you're on the brakes more often (at lights, etc).
  6. I don't think injectors are a good item to regularly remove as they can become stuck in position (more so on diseasels) and then need a specialist puller to remove them. Worse case they can break which then makes the job x times more expensive. So follow the mantra, if it ain't broke then don't fix it.
  7. Well done persevering, that's quite a price difference.
  8. Good to see that the car is being cared for. The wine holder is neat, does it get much use!
  9. Removed the rear calipers and they are in really good nick, i reckon they've been replaced There's only an upper bolt holding them on, the lower mount just slides off. I guess that's to allow caliper to flip out of the way so the disk can be removed to get to the handbrake. Neat. Cleaned, lubed and reassembled nicely. PS: the OSR stone guard has corroded at the bottom, i'll see what I can do to sure it up the next time I'm under there.
  10. Looking very shiny indeed, well done as she looks great. Enjoy
  11. Well done finding a cheaper alternator but what's going on with the crank sensor all of a sudden.
  12. Good shout, those servos do move around short while after the ignition is turned off. They wouldn't operate constantly when driving around though would they? Only when you adjust the heater temp/output direction.
  13. Well done, working on injectors can be tricky. But it looks like you're over the worse of it now. Fingers crossed that it all goes back together smoothly.
  14. A move aside button could often come in handy :) If drivers kept left (on the UK) then we wouldn't need such gimmick's.
  15. Grove Garage? - http://grovegarage.co.uk/ example LOC thread; http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/109821-radiator-replacement/
  16. Yeah okay, but this old man can't! LOL
  17. The Hybrid system went in for it's health check today and passed, so is warrantied for another 12 months I let the service manager know about my 'shox' issue and he was surprised, lets see if he looks into it any further. I did get NIP'd for speeding last week tho It's inexcusable and I'm really annoyed with myself as I DO NOT speed in urban areas. Mind you it does highlight how quiet the car is and how easy speed can creep up on you. Oh and the NSF lights are misted up again but less than before. So I reckon I'll leave the backs off in the sunshine for a few days now that it's warming up.
  18. Hehe, well found. That wouldn't be your first choice for a Sunday track car but it should make for an interesting few vid's.
  19. You're right, the v6 and eCVT work well together and pickup is good in Normal mode. It's ballistic in Sport mode
  20. Welcome to the forum Jon, do you use the IS-F as your daily driver or weekend toy?
  21. Oh dear, not a good start. Did the dealer fix the issue?
  22. I think Richard found a garage in Northants/Leics that replaced/coded a sensor for around £50. I recently had one done by a mobile fitter at close to double that 😕 The OEM units are Pacific but different replacements can be fitted. When a sensor is replaced, all the sensors need to be read and uploaded to the ECU.
  23. Yes, high 30mpg early 40mpg is possible on steady motorway runs.
  24. Sorry to hear that your Merc is giving you trouble, it seems to be a common story these days. I'm really pleased with my GS450H and it's good that you don't have an issue with the boot. Actually the later 450H's have a bigger boot so you maybe okay depending on your budget. At motorway speeds the petrol engine will be the primary force powering the vehicle. So as I understand it the Hybrid system won't have much benefit at speed. Good luck in your quest to join us :)
