  1. Indeedy, we were quite surprised it went in. Sure, I'll snap one over lunch. The GS 450H is spec'd at 280 litres, what's your IS? Is the GS much wider than an IS? - GS width 1820mm
  2. Had pals visit for the weekend and their pah tagged along who was keen to go for a ride in the GS He has a mobility scooter which none of us thought would fit in the boot but to our amazement it went in quite easily! Anything we bought whilst we were out, had to go inside the cabin tho Excuse the dirty car, I washed it the next day...honest. Along with their car which took some cleaning and machine polishing to get the Seagull poop off the roof, I've never seen such a mess
  3. It looks great and you'd never know it's been re-purposed, pat yourself on the back. The slideshow works a treat, thanks. What a transformation. Time to enjoy it now.
  4. That's a great lookin' summer house by the way, well done. Mrs bluenose must be well pleased.
  5. Now that is disappointing, I would expect at least one of them to say 'ah well, win some, lose some'! The deputy fed my line after line which didn't wash as I'd checked the parts myself. I discussed it with the service manager (he was emailed beforehand) and he clearly wasn't fussed. I wonder if they often quote for replacing parts that aren't necessary on the off chance someone coughs up?
  6. Keep in mind that the GS 450H wasn't available in large production batches, so a long and specific list of requirements it likely to need a very looooong wait. I think we all start out with our grand wish list but I for one find trawling around looking at cars tiresome. Sure the internet helps but eventually I have to admit what's available, make the best decision I can and buy one. Then it's all about enjoying your new ride, now that's the fun part I hope you find the right car for you tho, happy hunting.
  7. Ah yes, that works for me Pfft, thanks I'll continue to use the dipping mirrors and parking sensors then and park askew as often as possible
  8. FYI: my '08 SE reversing camera doesn't have reversing guidelines. It seems that Lexus dropped this option briefly and then reinstated it #sigh Reference; http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/112826-gs450h-reversing-camera-view/
  9. Eamonn @Eame64, thanks. It's good place to post useful info and keep a sort of vehicle log. Even tho I paid up for Gold membership and it was express delivered (thanks to the site Admin) I found that my local dealer offered me a slightly better discount on it's service So with different dealers YMMV. Good luck hunting down your own GS 450H, are you looking for a particular spec/colour?
  10. Hi Kieron, good figures there for a big thumper. What were the driving conditions? Did you drive it like you stole it or poooooootle?
  11. ...'on a build thread' e.g. your own LOL I'm still enjoying reading thru your DW thread mind you.
  12. The service mgr did come across as pleasant but he hasn't addressed false advisories. Nor did his deputy. A poor show and hasn't given me any confidence to return.
  13. I've used Lincoln's servicing dept, with mixed results. Why'd you ask Ian / @999101999 ?
  14. Rub it in why don't ya! Which door was sticking? Fingers crossed that the buyer snags your Accord.
  15. Thanks Brian. That's a good thread you've got running over on DW too
  16. Could be, mine's an SE. Frankly I've lost the will to keep on trying to enable such an option, which would have been nice to have. But as it appears to be MIA on my car, then so be it. Thanks for the input tho John @Britprius, appreciate it.
  17. ACCS mode on, shift lever in reverse and no reversing camera shown In POWER mode and reverse, the camera is shown (as per post#2) but no 'option' button.
  18. I tried those options too but the lever wouldn't budge. I've never used the unlock button before and it didn't have a positive click. Will take a read of the manual and re-try...ah the lever can be shifted WHILE the unlock button is pressed. Gawd I'm a complete noob
  19. I've sneaked mine into a very similar position and it's well hidden by the reversing mirror, you have to really look to see it. The odd time you need to punch a button on the camera (e.g. to stop the format card messages) I need to angle the mirror out of the way, press the relevant button and then line the mirror back up again. But that's a small price to pay for a neat and tidy install. Looking at your mirror it seems further into the cabin than mine, so you may not have any issues working around the mirror position.
  20. Just seen these threads, which suggest the parking lines were removed during '08 models then re-introduced again later
  21. In Accessory mode (Power button pressed without pressing the Brake pedal) I can't move the shift lever out of Park. I don't see the bottom left or right options in my reversing camera, were they optional?
  22. @Odysseus / Andrew, I just tried the hidden menu and whilst all system checks are OK, the Camera option is greyed out and not accessible http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/8150-howto-access-the-secret-diagnostics-menu/ I'm not sure why my camera option isn't accessible... PS: I tried to access the hidden menu via both the INFO and DISP buttons but no joy.
  23. Dang, those marks are considerable A clean and polish should help reduce them but that's not the point is it, folks should take more care. Good luck getting any response from the car park owner, pals have tried this in the past and made zip all progress. Arranging to park on a private drive nearby sounds like a good option.
  24. From what I've seen, tinting tends to look deeper outside the car vs inside. Waiting for some folks to chime in with their experiences...
