  1. Hi Scott, Have you physically checked the tyre pressure within each tyre? If the actual pressures are okay then maybe a sensor is on the fritz? I'm not sure about the earlier GS but mine have dedicated TPMS sensors fitted to each wheel. Have you recently added air to any/all of the tyres, that then generated the dash light? If so, then you may well need to reset the TPMS system.
  2. Well done Sean, I noticed this last night too and was just about to ask what the issue was.
  3. Great, that'll save you having to hunt around for replacement parts
  4. Wow, I can now see all the work done on my car Thanks for the heads-up folks.
  5. Yeah, I sold my Civic over a year ago and have thoroughly enjoyed my GS since I got lucky and had a few buyers willing to take on my car for a very reasonable price. Selling the parts should give you a greater return and I'm sure the bits will be snapped up. It's just a balance between time/effort and return. Do you have the OEM parts to hand to refit? Good luck.
  6. Welcome to the forum Carl and well done Mugen'g the FN2, nice power from it too now eh. Good luck hunting down an IS-F, which'll be worthy successor to your Honda.
  7. This came up yesterday
  8. Does the starter crank? Or even have the solenoid click? Are you sure that the battery has sufficient juice to crank the starter? I've had cars in the past that had enough power to light up all the dash but nothing left to crank. Is the engine able to turn over? - drop it into neutral and with a spanner on the crank bolt try turning the guts of the engine. Oh and welcome to the forum Gary / @Gaziom
  9. I'm still haven't fixed the squeaky seat but on a positive note I got an official 2017/18 gen5 satnav DVD loaded at lunchtime (cheap eBay purchase) This disk now allows satnav/etc selections on the move, which'll keep the mrs happy - she changes her mind and then decides we're going somewhere else! To read the disk I once again had to disconnect the battery for 15mins, those can't read disk errors freak me out. When I then started the car it didn't rev as high from cold and on a short test run (engine didn't get to temp) the motor shut off when i slowed down. Which made me wonder if the ECU relearns after a battery disconnect? But thinking about it, I wonder if the HVAC controls were off after the power off? - then the motor would be less likely to kick in Whatever!
  10. Turns out it was cheaper than a fitted unit for the wife's mk5 Golf. I need to fit this one myself tho which I don't mind, I just need the weather to improve first. The instructions are comprehensive so the install shouldn't be an issue.
  11. Yes, I took the plunge and picked up an official bar and wiring harness at lunchtime. The wiring looks a right long winded job, not as plug and play as I'd hoped.
  12. Answer: 27-28" inches, tapering up to the boot floor. Man-flu and the weather means I haven't measured between my 'cans' yet.
  13. I agree that the boot lock is annoying every now and then, secure tho! I've not found traction an issue but I don't hammer it very often. I guess you're in Sport and/or Pwr when it gives? What tyres and pressures are you running? I really like the cars 'sleeper' style. Creaky dash? - nope.
  14. Oh no Mark sorry to hear that, was it a big knock/much damage?
  15. Another vote for Tony Banks here, I got new s/s mid and rear sections for less than your dealer quote. Or do you specifically want an OEM replacement? Any on eBay/etc? Or are any available from RockAuto.com?
  16. Hybrid health checks are approx £60
  17. You mean the 'retro' cassette deck It is comical and I've never used mine.
  18. Hi there, I purchased an 08 model just over a year ago and it's never missed a beat. It had covered 93k and has since clocked up another 10k, taking in several trips to the conintent. The rear Y section of the exhaust was corroded, along with the OS muffler. Both were fixed with a new SS rear section. The battery's seem to be pretty reliable, touch wood. Although I guess each car is treated differently. Richard is nr Northampton and seems to be font of all knowledge when it comes to battery repairs. Apart from sticky rear calipers, blistering alloys also watch out for leaky shocks. Otherwise they seem pretty solid. The 08 models onwards have USB music feed in the center arm rest and indicators on the mirrors. Base models come pretty well spec'd too. Have you seen one of interest or driven one?
  19. Very nice indeed [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  20. Pads sticking to disks is pretty common, maybe due to our damp climate. My car often sits on my drive all week and can often take a few rev's to free of the stuck pads. There was this one time (at band camp!) that a few rev's didn't release one of the wheels. So I ended up driving/dragging it off the gravel drive, digging a trench as it went. It finally released when it hit solid tarmac, with a bang. As my drive is flat, I've now taken to leaving car parked in gear with the handbrake off. No more sticking pads. I suspect the shush sound you hear Peter, is corrosion being cleaned off the face of the disk.
  21. Hi Andrew, welcome to the forum and well done securing yourself a GS. Lets see some pic's when you bring it home. Several of us have come to Lexus after driving Honda's, I'm very pleased to have racked up a years ownership of my GS. While it's a shame the UK won't see the Accord, isn't the new Civic almost the same size? Although the yanks get both models, so I don't know why we don't get them.
  22. Well done Andrew, the car looks great with plenty of reflections [emoji106] I'm not sure what you were up to in the last pic, looks kinky! [emoji23]
  23. They unbolt from the inside of the wheel, 2 bolts per spar. Here's a sample image showing the mounting points
  24. Bump for anyone with a mk3 GS and a factory fit tow bar.
