Not sure if this has any relevance to you guys and Your cars ……. When I recently acquired my new to me 91 Ls400 it had a very good substantial fitted rubber backed boot mat ….. over the original existing “ normal “ mat Ive since removed it, the rubber backed mat …… seems to have allowed significant condensation to be held under it, surface rusting the spare wheel paint finish …… removing this rubber mat has removed the condensation problem …… my boot’s quite dry otherwise Just a thought ! I tried to get my first wife’s grandfather to talk of his times on the Front both at Ypres and the Somme ….. and my father in law blown up on his ship and spent some of the war in an Italian burns hospital in Corsica I think it was ….. lots of facial bits sloped off with scalpels with his then hospitalisation …… my Dad survived with a bullet thru his helmet on the Luftwaffe bullet strewn beaches of France ….. THEY just NEVER spoke of their travails and horrors …… wish I could have understood about it all …… nevermind ….. a just amazingly brave and formidable generation or so Malc

Not quite like that BUT yes, the sales will go up up up and better targets met and corporate profits too ……. neither Lexus nor the insurers will lose a penny …… car buyers pay the insce premiums and insurers continue to excel at profit making …… Lexus too selling lots more cars with security improvements that cost money that the buyer pays whatever ……. It’s only the car buyer that loses with increasing insce premiums …… and Maersk do well with the containers being more fully used ! It’s all a Win Win for everyone bar the car buyer 🤔 AND there really is no need for the police to get involved coz everyone doesn’t lose a penny for the police to worry about …… it’s the insurance companies just allowing all this to happen and I’m thinking not worth their time bothering with Malc

Suggest avoid driving in Delhi ….. and Manchester 😂. Delhi ….. Answer to a slight knock is to jump out, rant and rave, pick up the bit of your car that’s got bashed off and pop it in your boot to get it fixed later ….. who bothers exchanging addresses etc …… it passes …… like tuk tuks, horses, cows, elephants and camels …… now you don’t wanna clash with one of those, especially a cow ….. you’d be hung drawn and quartered and fed to the wild dogs 👍 You carry a gun and a policeman would shoot you dead first …… why ask a Q, you’re gonna be dead ! BUT everyone in the UK likely to be a road rage antagonist would do well to have a short stint driving in Delhi …… good for the soul 🥳 Malc

Lot to digest us Ls400 owners remaining are blessed to still have our cars …… there’s not many 25/30/35 year old cars in everyday use like ours Most car owners have given up running older cars a generation or two ago ……. When I first started driving in the 1960’s even just post war cars were “ old “ and shortly for the scrapper ……. Rust mainly and challenging mechanics its a very good read Thank you Malc
