The 70’s quite amazing too ….. growing up in all sorts of ways ……. and again Ford Cortinas aplenty …… the Mk1V 2.3 Ghia WOT a car 👍 …… no wonder I grew into my Lexus Ls400s V8 4ltr limos quite comfortably 😂 Malc

BUT …… are the gaps correct maybe …….Toyota designed with that purposeful aberration ? Malc

Wondering if the “ gap” looks different from different viewing angles and is actually aesthetically ok ? lexus lost the pursuit of perfection way back 🤔 Malc

Matt hi ……. nothing as simple as it maybe should be with mirror glass …….. many posts over the years for various models with some members making do with glass that’s not quite right often due to the huge cost of replacement ……. some slightly concave / convex , dimming and maybe slight vertical lines in the glass for reversing focussing whatever ……. The prices for new can be huge and £200 might be a steal tbh £30 seems brilliant if it really is the correct part There are a few independent glass mirror producers that cut to a template if not available in stock BUT they might not be “ quite right “ but suffice for some 🤔 it’s a potential minefield ! Kalpesh hi, Are you looking for a 2 person or a Family size car or SUV, big boot maybe ? …… Older cars might have far less electronicory to go wrong 🤔 and reading here of more modern Lexii costing shed loads £££££ to keep going, maintenance whatever ……. Older Lexus, the older the better, if still on the road, might last you a very long time and huge miles ……. Later models could never replicate the sturdiness of the original models …… there’s still some around that would last you for as long as you wished AND hold their value too probably ….. and give you great reliability too Malc

Oh my. On that basis the ‘60s were best by far 😂 Less cars than ever on the roads and I felt “ rich” and free being a teen all thru that decade AND having a car, my own car 👍 Oh and a job and INCOME to spare ( but not a lot 🤣) and huge enthusiasm for the wonderful life ahead 🤞👌👍🤞 Ford Cortina age …… marvellous for sure Malc

1991 Lexus LS 4.0 400 4dr for sale for £8,790 in London, Middlesex (autotrader.co.uk) This looks quite amazing and all original they say ............. same colour and year as mine but obviously more immaculate and pristine and with it's original hifi set-up ...... just a few speedo miles less tho' and NOT to be used everyday methinks . well, only if you want to keep it's value and not get the enjoyment from her ....... and that would be a waste ............. and it's non-interference cambelt so's not to worry if it's not been changed too often ( or at all ) ....... I don't remember it being ever specified with this model tbh ENJOY Malc

Did the Main Dealer also replace the waterpump and ancillaries at that time ? If they did then “ rest easy “ If they didn’t then you might want to have the full job done again …… just in case …… If they did then I would suggest you’re in no great rush to have it done this time around after just some 40k miles Just as important…… was the radiator too changed coz if not then that is certainly now due to avoid the potential oil mix scenario happening Just my thoughts from years of reading the posts here 🤞 Good luck Malc

That Party sounds a great idea …….. just have one. Beware some insurers won’t touch a Jap import version of a standard UK equivalent car Your insce broker might solve your originating problem over the phone if you give them the regn number …… they will possibly know ! Malc

Insurance company / broker price quotations are generally simply unfathomable these days …… it’s a bit of a lottery 🤔 Malc

Norman, welcome to this forum Can you tell us something about your car, year, mileage , regn too maybe ? any distinguishing photos ? is the speedo just in kph ? the radio with all UK channels ? any Japanese hieroglyphics on the dash or radio or on the controls anywhere ? Any sales documentation ever with advices about whatever ? That might help us to help you ! Malc
