    Should there be continuing interest in my rad / oil cooler breakdown issue ………. in the Honda Legend …….after much searching seems likely zero availability of the necessary new specific radiator so it’s to go to a radiator rebuild business ……. as is usual with classic cars …….     Thinking you mentioned the previous owners only replaced 7 of the plugs ? That’s a starting point for sure ……. might be that 8th plug has never been changed due to accessibility issues 🤔 Malc

    remembering in times past owners sometimes oil sprayed their cars undersides for “ protection “ ……. against rust whatever, ALSO …… I’m reading before on here of Lexus Main Dealers imaginary overly cautious and ostensibly touting for work ……. preying on owners fears of the unknown …….. but that possibly applies to non Lexus garages too of course …… build up a good rapport with your trusted Indy mechanic to comfort you going forward …… fingers xd 🤞 Malc

    I never use other than soapy water on my glass, headlamps, windscreen etc on my Ls400s As an aside and living in a hard water area ……. I clean down the inside of my glass doors and sides of my home shower with very fine wire wool, and water of course …… works a treat 👍 Malc

    In my Ls400s they’re 85.1 ltrs tanks and when the orange light pops up there’s often 100 miles reserve ……… lasts a day or two 😄 Malc

    I was going thru this unsettled phase about this time last year …… seriously looking at Jap imported Lexii but couldn’t settle on any coz there was zero availability to get EVERYTHING SANS JAP hieroglyphics, signs, buttons whatever …….. so in August I bought my wondrous 91 Ls400 from a Member here ……. maybe keep your Ls400 for ultra comfy trips but use her every other day to keep all in fine fettle Yours must be worth at least a £zillion to the discerning buyer Malc

    I always ask my Indy service guy to check the calipers at each service …… I’m prior reading over the years on here that calipers never feature in the Service Schedules ….. at Lexus and possibly all others too Calipers are really very expensive to replace when simple annual check and servicing of them adds very little to your annual maintenance bill ……. done by someone competent and knows what they’re doing of course 😄 Ive never had calipers actually replaced in decades of motoring and many 00’s of 000s of smiles miles in my Ls400s 🤩 Malc

    Brake pipe often comes off a roll and a competent Indy will assess, replace as necessary and invoice you for hopefully sensible labour costs and often small parts costs …….. to last the next life of your car 😄 Have you built a rapport with a local Indy over the years maybe ? Lexus Main Dealer is often eye wateringly expensive for servicing sadly Good luck Malc

    When I visit Cheveley ( next to Newmarket ) from home in Kent, I’ve never noticed your car around ………. You might have seen my nephew driving around locally in my red 1932 Triumph Southern Cross Sports Tourer tho’ Good luck selling the best car ever …… it might be underpriced though at £3k ……. Looking at the classic car websites and autotrader stuff and what’s sold or at least vanished from being advertised for sale recently 🤔 Malc

    I’m remembering there’s a great deal, ICE just one thing besides SatNav screen, maps, buttons and screen hieroglyphics to be changed to bring such an imported car to “ normal “ UK supplied car features I wasn’t able to track down where I could achieve what seemed impossible at that time, August last year Often superb underused clean and well maintained cars BUT one having to be satisfied with Japanese nuances Malc
