  1. Someone pops down to Tesco for shopping 😄 Malc
  2. I’m presuming the occasional ULEZ fee I pay to Sadiq Khan for driving my nigh exhaust free Ls400s in London penal areas does actually go to “ air purification” in some way 🤔 Malc
  3. interesting, I'm reading somewhere recently, that Tata / Range Rover have developed a secondary use for defunct EV batteries by using banks of them for effective ( solar ? ) power source banks for homes whatever ......... At least EVs will have some use when they're all dead and being scrapped ......... anytime soon maybe 😉 No doubt someone here will happily correct me on this ! Also reading the piling high of EVs at docks and ports globally where they're being effectively stored coz no dealers want to buy them for stock holding and not being able to shift them to retail punters .................. Possibly not much demand for 2ndhand EVs, even Porsche 😂 in the Gobi or Sahara or indeed anywhere in Africa much where all good used cars go for their true end-of-life ......... next life Malc
  4. …….. and being ragged and dragged everywhere ………. You often in drag mode these days 🤣 Malc
  5. Steve hi. Why don’t you ask the suppliers / fitters that Q ? Before you complain ?? about …….. what ??? Malc
  6. Amazing people write queries and then don't look back for the answers .. Craig hasn't been back on here since the day he posted the Q BUT it's good to know there's a real quirk with this for the 89 - 91/92 Ls400s and maybe this Post could be transferred to the Ls400 Section specifically for future reference Steve ...... is this possible ? Thanks Malc
  7. Regn no. would be good too 😄 oh, and price Malc
  8. where have the Notes gone too then ? Digital notes could be kept forever presumably ! Malc
  9. Adam hi and welcome to this Forum I've never heard of this issue before BUT I know someone will pop along soon that can offer you some hopefully helpful advice How long have you had your Ls400 ? Tell us something about your time with this wonderful car Malc
  10. Is the Lexus Dealer just touting for imagined work needed ? if there’s no MOT Advisory then I’d be wary of “ the need “ Malc
  11. I quite agree 🤩 Malc
  12. 97,000 miles 🤣 my average is about 7 x that. i.e about 14k miles on RAC call-outs over the last 25 years driving my Lexuss’ and assorted 2nd cars too Probably rather more of late with deteriorating roads and people discarding screws, nails whatever indiscriminately i ALWAYS pick up these weapons of tyre destruction when I see them 👌 Malc
  13. I have no idea of their value but do know that should an owner of an early Ls400 have a future need then it would be good to know how to find them …….. there’s so few of us really early car owners left in the uk I surmise …….. Ive had my 91, just short of 100k miles, car since August, my 95 car for some 13 years too ….. covered 125k of it’s 248k miles 😄 Knowing availability and source of rare parts is good 🤔 Malc
  14. Graham this is brilliant news that you have some unobtainable bits for our early cars ……. do you have more ? Malc
  15. it’s bound to taste nice, well ok ……. Hopefully Malc
  16. It's placing me in the rare " camp " of never ever ever had this issue in any of my several Ls400s ........... and cars always only ever been parked on the flat wherever over the decades 🙃 Malc
  17. Craig the OP hasn’t looked back on here at these replies since his original post on Friday 🤔 Malc
  18. Is your car standing at an angle / slope ever when it’s driving rain ? Mine only ever stand flat on the road when parked ………. and I have never seen any water ingress …….. over 25 years or so ! Malc NB. There had been condensation damp on the spare wheel on my new Mk1 when I bought her last August……. due to the rubber backed mat fitted over the normal standard boot, floor mat ……. Malc
  19. In my diary. Thank you Malc
  20. I bought myself a 4 door 1200cc basic Mk1 Cortina in 1968 when I was still at school. GGK584C ……. Grandma’s inheritance …… didn’t have it long tho’ ……. nice enough car for me and my school chums driving around London and Kent ENJOYING LIFE 🤩 Malc
  21. Quietly, inexpensive, quality motoring in supreme comfort Nothing to complain about eh ! 😄 Malc
  22. Cabin Pressure ……. just drive at under 80mph most of the time ( unless you’re aiming for those vandals ), open the occasional window / sun roof ……. ban smoking and eat more bikkies in the limo …… then the worry about that elusive Cabin Pressure will vanish ……. believe it or not, you’re NOT a Concorde pilot even tho’ hopefully the champagne occasionally flows for you and yours …….. it will should I come to visit 🤣 Hope you’ve got those Cctv things up to identify anymore little shi..tes causing you grief 🤔 Best wishes Malc
  23. You can see what the neighbours have for breakfast then 🤣 Malc
  24. Amazingly I too saw, on that trip, a huge eagle, about human size it seemed, on the edge of the road almost next to me, as me in my 95 Ls400 was coming up the mountain road, round the bend, quite quiet of course, then just then, the eagle opened its enormous wing span and flew off down into the mountains ......... wish I could have taken a photo but I was both hands steering up that treacherous mountain pass ...... somewhere in Spain that day I shall NEVER forget that event ! Malc
