I’m quite shocked at the relatively low numbers of Ls’s’ sold …… and initially supporting the Main Dealer network, appearing as High Quality showrooms …… and complimentary coffee too 😄 Must have been quite an event in one’s life to pop along to buy a brand new early Ls400 Malc

Anthony ……. My opinion for what it’s worth ……. You’ve brought a degree of happy humour to our proceedings and we’ve all understood quite fully what your Ls 400 is all about ……. unless you have more to impart that expands our horizons and knowledge If I didn’t understand and anticipate that one or both of my two Ls400s would outlast me I’d be up to the Borders like a shot and be happily driving her back to Kent …….. had yours appeared last August I’d have been very tempted and holidaying in Scotland I was at a crossroads and bored at that time and knew from my Indy that buying that 1965 S3 Bentley I’d hankered after for years would probably frustrate me with the likely constant “ breaking the bank “ syndrome AND being off the road and on a transporter to his works ……. so there we are, I bought my Mk1 at 97k miles and reminisced over my first Ls400 that I parted company with at 180k miles J54DAP These are wondrous cars and I sort of envy the next owner of yours ……. Mk1,2and 3 under my belt ……. your Mk4 is tempting 😂 Malc Reading today that a youngster in the USA is still driving at age 110 …….. Ls400s might not outlast me on that basis Best wishes with the sale

The Ls400 is far far superior to the 2006 Legend 3.5ltr tho' it is ............ it's just that she indoors prefers driving the smaller and underpowered Legend cf the beauty of the 4ltr V8 😂 Malc at long long last I've found a replacement radiator from Autodoc ( on line ) at @£148 and hopes it should be couriered to me within a few days now ..... at 61% discount to their book price but way under the Honda Main Dealer at £995 !

those damnable headlight washers eh ! Q just for info please ............ have the plastic headlights lenses ever been professionally cleaned ............. or replaced ? I'm thinking that glass headlamps finished with my Mk3 Thanks Malc

Remembering had to replace the alternator a few years back and the only availability was from a special low volume modern Honda sports type car Ok price though …… guess vendor keen to find a buyer …… at long last maybe 😄 Malc

My 2006 Honda Legend sadly still reposes at the garage (150k miles ) awaiting the discovery of a replacement radiator at sensible ££££££ Honda price to source from the Belgium EU Parts Centre @£995 ……. OUCH 😫 Hopes now possibly found one and we can shortly move forward …… it’s a brilliant car which I’ve had 8 years and 45k miles …… the car that Honda just couldn’t sell here in the UK ….. tiny value coz no one wants them …… they only sold about 286 over some 6 years in the UK …… she’ll be back on the road soon I’m sure ….. she indoors just doesn’t really want to drive my Lexii 🤔 Malc

Members here with an interest will have already checked the online MOT status as you kindly mentioned the regn no. upfront 👍 The rest is “ good to know “ when thinking about a purchase …….. especially as you’re residing in the far flung outposts of the Empire 🤣 What they don’t know ……. is if the car actually works, drives, sounds “ normal “ until they see it in the flesh so’s to speak When I bought my J reg Ls400 last August I was happy that the owner drove it the 40 ? or so miles over to me on the day of purchase, it worked 👍 ……. and I bought “ sight unseen” as they say …… but I did have some 25 years of Ls400 continuous ownership and probably knew what to expect ……… might be your purchaser won’t have that benefit of knowledge 🤔 Best wishes with it all Malc

Front Exhaust issue ….. All done then that’s good. Yes mine cost about the same too ……. should last another 20+ years ok Malc

Anthony hi again ......... did you get the front exhaust leak issues sorted that they mentioned ? When I had mine done on my Mk3 the exhaust fabricators built anew coz there was zero availabilty of the OEM part anymore Best wishes Malc
