  1. Only one key sounds like a “ snatch back “ from failed finance maybe Hope you’re happy with this car’s history 🤔 Do tell ……… Malc
  2. Dave Alan forever ……. wonder if he had a Ls400 ? Malc
  3. Still plenty of rain here in Kent yesterday …… BUT it’s all change today …. 1st June …… and the local Classic Car show tomorrow ……. Just thought, should I pop my 91 Ls400 into the fray ……. But not sure I want to be there all day let alone doing all the necessary prep to get her as pristine as I know I should 🤔 I’ll go visit for sure as taking prtnr to help out on the Cats Protection stand for a couple of hours ……… selling moggies ….. NO, I jest of course 🤔 Malc
  4. So it’s the likely storage method over time that causes “ new “ old stock to be decrepit when sold 🤔 Makes a lot of sense for sure 👍 Malc
  5. That’s what the BBC weatherman said yesterday ……. did we see the same ? Malc
  6. QUITE PREFER the ebay blue one at a silly price maybe ............... sure a great project for someone Malc
  7. Definitely the Main Dealer issue to resolve otherwise the Warranty Claim will fail methinks Malc
  8. Just seeing Mike Bluesman hasn’t been back here since May 2023 …….. a years a long time and thanks for trying to see what’s happening Steve Best wishes Malc 🙏
  9. Oh my, Switzerland by Lexus is just magical ......... it's a fantastic place to wile away some days in beautiful sunshine ........ around lakes and visiting far flung little known areas too ........... maybe park-up and take the local train up to Zermatt ........... and much else too ..... a lake trip at least Envy you a tad ............ must get going this year somewhere egsziting too 😉 Malc
  10. Keeping one’s Mother In Law in the boot whilst driving might be some sort of driving offence and cause points on one’s licence 🤔 Malc
  11. I’m not at all surprised dealers are being asked to help finding older Ls’s’ your previous owner had a brilliant time driving all those amazing miles I’m sure. Very little maintenance needed beyond normal servicing and preventative maintenance and wow, wot value for money over his lifetime with your car …… now …… you’re going to get another lifetime from her too Those handbrake pads/ shoes stuff …… it’s probably the first time they’ve been changed too I know mine haven’t been on 250k miles ! We’re very fortunate and some might say wise to be having the Ls for our main cars …… to drive in utmost comfort and reliability with immense power and acceleration at our whim …… In my 26 years driving an Ls400 ……. wow is it that long …… and I know they’ve taken me personally at least 250,000 incredible miles across the UK and much of Europe on holidays I KNOW I wouldn’t hesitate jumping in either of mine right now …… just checking the levels and tyre pressures …… to do a simple, almost any terrain, 5,000 mile holiday wherever The older Ls is really that great a car …… on E5 tho’ of course 😂 Malc
  12. Steve, 7 year old's can often be a trifle annoying ....... but you learn to live with 'em ! Have another cuppa Yorkshire tea to calm your nerves 😉 Malc
  13. I always use the E5 and Tesco is the most convenient and best value around ( 150.9p yesterday filled up ) for me right now ........ 460 miles per tank seems fine tbh Malc
  14. just 75k miles ahead of me in my 1995 Mk3 Ls400 😉 ..... and 225k miles ahead of my 91 car too 👍 Do keep us posted on your paintwork issues Malc
  15. David hi, you changed from orange lenses too at some point She looks very smart ( as ever ) and the mileage is ???? Malc
  16. I used my Mk2 Ls400 as a nephews wedding car long back …….. was wonderful ……. Not white tho ‘ Malc
  17. Some of these heat shields are quite vestigial and yours might be ok to “ lose “ Mother-in-law backseat rumblings maybe 😂 Malc
  18. your Honda Accord Mk8 Touring sounds interesting ……. rare I’m thinking too ! The Legend ……. They only sold some 285 in the UK between 2006/12 and possibly the best car Honda made but could never sell here …… they are quite inexpensive now by comparison to other 3.5ltr “ limos” and Autotrader often have stellar mileage ones at modest prices say £2/3k but low mileage cars at “ collectors “ silly prices These engines will do huge miles ….. mines now done just about 150k with only normal servicing + an alternator, brakes, tyres, batteries whatever ….. great cars but suffer from the plasticised silver chrome peeling and of course now dings and dents and wheels needing refurbishing …… and at the car’s value I’m not sure I’ll be treating her except for continuing proper annual servicing and maintenance …… looking pristine doesn’t hack it for me with the Honda Legend My bro-in-law spent lots £££££ at the Main Dealer before I bought it from him 8 years back ……. he then got a Lexus as his Director’s company car 👍 I should have realised the gearbox oil cooler / radiator issue at approaching 150k was “ preventative maintenance “ territory just like the later Ls430s My two Ls400s are the right cars for me but ‘er indoors ‘ just much prefers her Honda Legend …… as I pay the bills of course 🤩 I’ll see what piccys I can achieve ……. soon 😅 Malc
  19. Unlike the probable very last X reg year 2000 Ls400 finding a buyer on here from forum member borderslad …….. my 2006 Honda Legend might possibly be one of the very first of the KB Mk1V Legends sold here in the UK Malc 🤔
