I mentioned way back under my old name ( lost my password ) that on the Ls400 they seem to be effectively vestigial attachments and dropping off and/ or removal of loosening shields seem to be the norm and ok …… for 00’s of ‘000s of miles 🤞 But that’s just my limited experience with the Ls400 Malc

possibly one of the reasons Ls400s are fetching brilliant money right now .. wonderful Lexus cars that have stood the test of time, decades, and with present owners, generally well maintained and capable of a million miles and with potentially ZERO electronic glitches that would make the driver and passengers that terrible HOSTAGE at those challenging electronically grievous moments of modern cars, especially LEXUS it might seem Bill, I think I'd have tipped the car into the " drink " at the earliest opportunity departing your ferry ... sans pax of course .... and claimed for the write-off under insurance 😇 Malc

Rupert on here who I coffee with sometimes has TWO too Just reading the Ls400s official ? stats 2023 Qtr4 545 licensed and 532 on SORN Not one of my close neighbours has an EV to my knowledge ......... living in a terraced houses road doesn't give much capacity for roadside EV Charging My two dozen and more years and 250k driving miles maybe of my varied Ls400s has been an absolute pleasure that I shan't be giving-up on any time soon The Lexus Ls700 ...... my possible Toyota badged new, and as yet unheard of, limo Hydrogen Power car might be available in 3 or 4 years ........ let's see Life has lots of ups and downs and weird challenges ahead ....... we know not what's gonna jump out and bite us in the bum ! I'm just pleased I can continue to drive and enjoy it immensely in my Ls400s ..... circumstances change all the time but for now .......... Sorry to hear of your utter disaster .. I've had and driven Ls400s for decades and they are simply Old fashioned, and utterly reliable, quick and fast and capacious and immensely comfortable and cost very little to buy, maintain etc Don't give up on Lexus, just buy the " right one " Good luck Malc

I have used Amayama in times past for all sorts of suspension stuff and the timeframe for delivery ...............and comparative cost to the Main Stealer .......... has been brilliant Malc

Russell, Hydrogen is already the “ green “ power source for much of EU trucks and buses ……. and the uk police Toyota Mirai around Heathrow region …….. and well proven …… the 1200 BP fuel stations around the uk will in some short measure have their own UK BP produced Hydrogen fuel for that 5 min fill-up, like with E5 right now 😅 …….. I use E5, does the LC 500 too ? ICE might be on that decline but EV will methinks go downhill amazingly rapidly once the HP sauce gets on board ……. within 3 years I’ll bet …….. indeed the new TV Toyota adverts showing ALL the marque fuel options ……. do now state “ Hydrogen “ too POLITICS in general will be a spent factor come end of next week and money raising will be on the agenda for sure and it ain’t gonna be just ICE cars that’ll be zapped to nigh extinction and only those with deep pockets good to go on petrol ……. Lexus V8 owners will find the way to refuel I’m sure ULEZ will raise more and more and Sadiq and those akin around the UK will find excellent ways to over-tax ALL cars ……. jugging out zero emissions or nay …… no motorists will escape paying for these Councils largesse and inability to fix their accounts in more challenging ways ……. all and any motorists are an easy ££££ target to drain and drain LC500s will survive and that niche owner will find a way to keep going …… as will all us V8 owners ……. fingers xd eh ! 🤞🤣👍 Malc
