Ok, I’ve only been reading the forum posts here about the Ls600s generally over recent times ……. I had thought to buy one but after donkeys years with a Ls400 decided to just stay-put ! Theres some, but very few Ls600 owners here and they will I’m sure be happy to tell you their personal experiences …… servicing, maintenance etc One chap had his secondhand Ls600, from a Main Dealer for some years and regularly posted ……. he changed it recently but I can’t remember his name …… he was very informative and knowledgable with his Ls600 Steve2006 a Moderator here might recollect …….. maybe send him a message if you will 🤔 Hope you can elicit the wealth of useful info the guys on this Forum have Searching here should help you in your decision making 🤞 Good luck Malc

and CV ……,,, you’re Ls430 …… what’s the mileage covered since the cambelt and waterpump replaced in 2015 ? They’re replaced together being in the same “ impossible “ location They say cambelt life is maybe 10 years / 100k miles but it’s a hugely expensive long hours job to replace but good preventative maintenance …….. and if the cambelt goes pop then your car’s going to be an economic write-off sadly with engine destruction ……. it’s as simple as that sadly Malc

Have u ever tried a Ls400 ? old fashioned simple in and out with ease for old bones and I’ve often driven a few hours without a break and feel ok, not actually refreshed, but quite ok just “ jumping “ out of the car at journey’s end …… and a capacious boot etc Malc

Hahahaha …… the Grim Reaper came for me a couple of years back and I swerved that scythe heading my way ……… my cancer nearly sent me upstairs….. or down …… and like many here having experienced, and experiencing similar I’m not keen to see Govt caused and inspired unnecessary deaths of a tranche of OAPs I have zero doubt that this Govt WILL cause the premature deaths of many OAPs this winter by consciously and knowingly, purposefully withdrawing this WINTER FUEL PAYMENT 361,448. signed the AGE. I’m afraid that the lives and early deaths of a segment of this nations 11.4 million OAPs need people of thought and concern to try to move this into national. “ mainstream concern “ AGE UK have thankfully taken on this baton and deserve all the support to bring these politicians to account …… and to take responsibility for the national harm that now bears their name directly I know nowt about, nor concern myself with political shades of red or blue BUT I do know that this blunt cancellation of the WINTER FUEL ALLOWANCE will undoubtedly cause a ( preventable ) number of OAP premature deaths ……. at the hands of this Govt I shall not, indeed cannot simply “ get over it and move on “ Malc

Petition I yesterday wrote a chaser type letter to my local Labour MP asking for his update on this issue He’s a new Labour MP just voted in after our local Conservative ( retiring MP ) had lost after some 20 odd years ……. a “Man of the People” imho He had much affinity with his constituents I felt …… I have yet to have any useful rapport with the new Labour MP ……. but I’m trying hard Malc

Any local friendly garage you might know and use with a ramp surely …….. they can do your Inspection while you tally alongside and watch and digest and maybe take photos too ……. drop ‘em the price of a couple of beers ……… Malc

Body shop repairs, labour, paint costs are now enormous ……. and often non-availability of new OEM parts ……. coz they’re stuck on a ship trying to get thru the Suez Canal or around the Cape …… to impossibly get to the UK ……are a huge feature and prematurely incline the insurer to simply write-off cars even superficially ( to us ) damaged Malc
