methinks servicing the calipers is NEVER on the formal " to do " sheet ..... one has to ask for them to be serviced specifically ..... it's poor for the servicing people not to service them regularly but there we are ..... it's built in obsolesence Touch wood, ........ my calipers are originals from 242k miles and 27 years of proper servicing There's no mention of new calipers on any of the service records I have ......... from new Malc

to my mind ----------- go for the simple chip repairs where appropriate and make-do with whatever replacement the supplying-fitting company can get when your's does really need replacing ............ the other option is to ask Pilkingtons at the Centre to manufacture you a bespoke one ..... they provide classic car glass ( used to be a small factory in Queenborough Kent where I live but that's now closed ) ...... possibly cost you £3/4 k methinks 🤣 Go with the flow, be sensible and replace with what's simply available these days Malc

not sure it would be with electricity costs going the way we expect ! I'll be ok then , mine's just a small V8 I have said this twice before here, variously, and I know it's summat everybody wants to just think isn't happening ........... it is AND it's dangerous . maybe they're all " bugged " too . overseeing my keypad on my computer . aaaarrrggghhhh ! and as for my gas meter readings . thank heavens we're still in a spring-like phase .. they told me they'd have to take down a corner of the wall of my house to replace my gas meter with a " smart " one . so how smart would that be I wonder 😇 I have one very modern smart electric one and an even smarter old fashioned gas meter now Oh and as for fuel . topped-up at Morrisons Sittingbourne yesterday with E5 at 168.9p / ltr .. 7p more than the E10 where most pumps seemed to be empty only 70.1 ltrs, just after the orange light popped up . still 10 ltrs left in the old gal ....... the beauty of a " small " V8 methinks Malc
