My heartfelt condolences ....... quite honestly I really do not know what car I would have to substitute my Ls400 . not even a complex machine comparatively like the Ls400 Mk4 would do me I fear I have no need to bang on about how marvellous in each and every respect our ancient steeds are . and will so continue to the day they ( and me ) drop ..... if ever methinks My thoughts are with a potential Ls700 / Toyota new Crown hydrogen power sedan . and i shall be investigating this seriously for sure at some stage Once again, my heart felt condolences on your sad sad loss ...... only someone who has had a lifetime ( in car years ) with a Ls400 will understand the on-going loss one would feel Good luck with your future cars Malc

2024 I'm thinking to go visit the Japanese blossom areas and might take in a trip to Toyota to look at the new Hydrogen big sedan and chat with them about the issues around importing one to the UK Just occurred to me that a buddy went there last year on such a glorious blossom trip 😃 Malc

there have been several posts in times past on here about the rust bits forming on the doors under the trims .. especially the middle of the door trims on the Ls400 and 430 Search and ye shall find ... no doubt 😇 Malc

you should have paid a 🤑few dollars more and bought a properly stored and fitted one from the Toyota spares Dept maybe 🤫 Malc

so I might still get my hydrogen Toyota Crown sedan to rebadge to my Ls700 ..... when I can eventually pension off my Ls400 🤣 Malc

or maybe a loose exhaust shield that needs removing maybe .. mine were simply sacrificial on my Ls400 and solved that specific rattle at rare times Good luck Malc

price looks about right then . plus possibly VAT and Import duty and a few squid for the postal/ email delivery advice Might work out at about 50% of UK Lexus / Toyota stores price Malc

we tend to buy our significant parts from Amayama or Rockauto ......... international providers of genuine OEM .........or LexusPartsDirect the import costs " all-up " often work out about 50% of the Lexus / Toyota UK prices Good luck Malc

............. probably too late for you now that there seems to be the issue . sadly BUT over 245k miles and 28 years my car has never, not yet anyway, had replacement calipers nor parts ........... ok, they have at each and every service in my ownership ( 12 years and 120k miles ) with my indy servicing the car, always given the calipers the attention a diligent service guy would give them There is zero Lexus servicing schedule for the calipers to my knowledge ... it's just the diligence of the owner and the servicing guy to simply know that the calipers need checking over and making sure all is well and adjusted It's simply called preventative maintenance 😇 Malc

My kids ( all themselves adults grown up now ) wouldn't know what a Ls400 is ( if they didn't know i have one ) as there are now almost none, zero, zilch on the roads .. I could probably give them, oh and the grandkids, £100 a pop if they ever see one What i did see parked in my local swimming pool car park was an enormous 22 plate Lexus in dull army fatigue brushed green colour . you could tell it was a Lexus, or maybe a tractor by the shovel like front just below the armour plated coloured bonnet ... jeez UGLY or Wot 😥 Malc
