enabling people to enjoy their lives in as best a way as possible . in the UK anyway, shouldn't be seen as a " problem " but as an amazing opportunity to enhance people's lives a little more than they could without the means to travel this wondrous land of, someplaces, joy and tranquility 😇 Malc

This Crown Royal ….. I’m still awaiting complete answers from the Dealer to my Qs as posted above quite frankly I’m already unimpressed that they deemed it appropriate to put Budget tyres on a 3ltr car ….. anyway let’s await the fuller picture I know that no one here would do so with their own existing car ….. well I wouldn’t ! it’s early days …… Malc

lest we forget that Toyota is a global Japanese business of very many state of the art businesses, not just cars and trucks and buses and for which their developments in both EV BEV " normal fuels " and Hydrogen power will likely thrust them to the fore, yet again, in our minds ... especially as we are usually focussed on cars with their Lexus marque I for one have no doubt that we will see much to-ing and fro-ing at Board and Shareholders Meetings BUT as with many major world players, Toyota will take itself to the fore in much of what it does and is likely to achieve Malc e.g. ........ Toyota Industries develops, produces, sells and provides services for a broad range of products, from industrial vehicles centered around a full lineup of lift trucks to materials handling systems. Lift trucks, which capture the top global market share, are delivered to customers around the world under the TOYOTA, RAYMOND and CESAB brands

Gang, where do you get this ridiculous thought process from ? It's never, to my knowledge, been stated on here for sure OR are you jumping the gun here in anticipation of what will likely be ! 🤣 Malc

Sc430 . up close and personal today . luckily a nice gent turns up seated at my Town Quay with his Sc430 parked thereat . and i parked close too as I arrived back home from my swim ... NOW . we got chatting as one does and I sat in the driver's seat and it felt, well, not many miles different to my Ls400 other than his Sc430 is a 53 plate with tiny 80k ? mileage, that he has recently bought ........ Wot an immaculate car . he's just had cambelt changed and it's going in for some tlc paint issues BUT when he opened the boot with the hood down and encompassed therein, well, of course there's really bugger all room in the boot for other than a sandwich bag ......... so then reality bites hard and if i had ever thought to use this car for long holiday journeys whatever then it really would be a " no-no " Ah well, I'm still chatting with the B'ham garage about the Toyota Crown Royal.. the sales guy is coming back to me with some detail I'll keep you all posted Malc

Ok guys ......... I've email asked some searching Qs of the garage selling this black Toyota Crown Royal ...... it looks to be an early but on the cusp of the later version, with the just slightly later Toyota Crowns being hybrid ...... lesser teccy and electronics stuff and just petrol running would be a comfort for me tbh ..... also I can't see it has SatNav so no Jap language idiosyncracies to worry about there 😉 This is my list of Qs . let's see if the garage comes back to me sometime soon .... wonder what my offer might be ££££ ? Has your Crown Royal any ............ SatNav .......... I can’t see it from the piccys Reversing cameras Is the radio very limited to UK FM only or ……. ? phone charging point or several ? Air suspension or ? Sun roof Tyre car jack ? What make tyres TPMS Any repaired bodywork damage ….. dings dents whatever ? What’s the Japan Toyota Main Dealer service records and is it available ( even in Japanese would be fine for me ) ? Which Japanese Auction Grade is this car ? And you’re confirming the car will have a new MOT on purchase ? Please clarify the necessity for the speedo to not having to also be in standard UK MPH Thank you

I’ve got a list of Qs to ask the importer garage if I decide to think about it some more they’ve said it will have a new MOT so I’ll let them worry about the speedo issue they say Road Tax at £325 ( same as my 95 Ls400 this year 🥵) Reading up about these Crown’s and the Majesta model was the Top of the Range it seems BUT below the introduced Ls range ……. So I’m far from sure 🤔 Malc

I know it's a bit barmy . well more so . BUT there's a 2011 Toyota Crown Royal being sold by some importers in B'ham way . looks a nice comfy car and with all the great features of my .. 2006 Honda Legend but without the sunroof . and only £325 Road tax it seems I'm asking the garage lots of Qs upcoming Anyone any thoughts on which Qs i might be best advised to ask ? She's easy to find on AutoTradeeer if anyone wants to search her out Thanks Malc

OMG are any of these remotely affordable to run ? Let alone buy Bentleys out as I don’t wish to outclass my Bentley owning neighbours ….. also my bro had one many moons back …… I would like one BUT it would have to be a Roller RR 😂 And parking that kerbside would def be eccentric, well unless I was in Monaco maybe 😄 Malc

Wouldn’t hesitate keeping the Lexus …….. you know it’s barmy not to ……. so then …….. how much is the MX5 ??? ….. did I really ask that Q …… our old Mazda 323f was a simply brilliant outstanding little car …… I have high regard for Mazda …… but ours did rust away …. it’s a car, they all do that eventually 🤔 Malc

is this a 40 year rule then . like ULEZ charges avoided in the UK . I think ! . coz they're Classic Cars ? BUT would i still need some sort of official receipt that it's exempt ? Malc

Steph hi. I bet you never thought when raising this issue that you’d incur the judicial views of all the European bodies that might want to give you a sodding fine ……. Dambable Clean Air Zones eh ! are you ok ? Q. so is anyone advising me that my 1995 Ls400 is now ok to drive into Paris ? Malc

Problem I have, along with my mildly eccentric and not short of funds neighbours, is that we park our cars on the road, the public highway, albeit going nowhere exotic nor ever too busy BUT full of parked cars ….. with generally too many for each household, mostly terraced old and sometimes quite ancient houses …… so I’m thinking I’ll just let my “ needs “ for a cabriolet just fall away and de-stress about my ludicrous parking issues …… maybe I’ll buy Premium Bonds instead 🤩 Malc
