a local to me Member on here had a roof tile slip off his roof to demolish his rear screen ( on his 2nd Ls400 ) ............ as you say completely irreplaceable BUT Pilkington will make you one at lotsa dosh £££££ ..... HOWEVER he now has a plastic one that he made up, that serves the purpose and I understand took a bit of jiggery pokery to fit but sans heater etc of course Keeps his two elderly Ls400s on the road thankfully 🖕 Heaven forfend that we need new front screens for our elderly cars .. thought I was going to keep her going for at least another qtr million miles and 25 years ......... 🤣 Malc

Kieran hi . for this age car i would have thought a windscreen was readily available tbh ........... Pilkington make windscreens in the UK and I'd have thought would have yours in stock ...... supplying to the usual insurers fitters but I'm just surmising here ........... Good luck Malc

Lexus don't consider that to be so .............. and most garages don't either IMHO Your choice whatever you instruct them to do of course . it's a very modest add-on cost to replace the waterpump while it's all being taken to pieces If I was buying a car I would want to specifcally know it's actually been changed Malc

we carefully buy from: Amayama, Rockauto and, in the UK , LexusPartsDirect ....... often avoiding much of the Blueprint offerings too There's other sources too of course Good luck and keep us posted Malc

you must do the waterpump too while you're in there taking it all to pieces Malc

there will be no two-tone paint options available. just waiting to see whatever the Ls700 might look like . will one ever come ? If Toyota went back to something like basics and used the Ls400 as the model to really really improve upon, and I mean to really improve upon, then that new model, an Ls700 maybe, might just be a car to trade " up to " in me old age Yes my old and revered Mk3 Ls400 is quite sound and subject to titivating about at MOT times should be fine for another few ' 00, 000's of miles and as a great and simple V8 4 ltr limo as comfy as comfy as one could ever wish for too . and it turns a good speed when kick down in Pwr mode .. she's a dream machine for sure ... who on earth wants all this new fandangled electronic teccy mullarkey for heavens sake ............... really ! on the face of it she looks like a relatively " simple " project for someone to get back to and enjoy a lovely car AND looks like it's possibly available for just £600 scrap value too . WBAC £1k less £400 for usual imperfections ..... and " weigh in " as scrap possibly around the £400 mark too Seems a pity to see another Ls430 go to Lexus Heaven Malc

Well, I've never had one to my knowledge . the only credit score I know of is my being able to balance me books everyday to swish away the flies landing on my piles of nuggets that are descending into chaos into my banking accounts ....... wot do i do with all those spondoolies i keep asking me'self ...... don't want a new car . I've totally downsized to the house i want in the location i want ...... AND I've happily had all me anti covid jabs too ...... hurrah . now then, where's the next adventure to be ......... I think it should be .... mine did 180k before I gave her away in early 2007, she went across Germany Holland, Scotland, Wales etc for a good few trips .............. and then bought my Mk2 ..... now on my Mk3 I don't see why a good Mk1 wouldn't continue to do good service provided she was cherished on-going BUT she's a lot of ££££ dosh to be an everyday user car methinks .. just for shows etc !
