    SC430

you're right..... . it's a " game " never have enuf when you need it when you're young and growing family life and then . enuf when your kids are oft to fend for themselves ( mostly ) then when you're really really old and others start to pop off around you, well, you realise that if you inherit from them then it's good to spend spend spend BUT you don't want to spend too much just in case there's never enuf for the Waitrose or Aldi food shop .............. BUT if you have enuf to buy yourself that " special " car you've always hankered after ..... like that SC430 ... then go4it .. if you find you don't have enuf to pay the milkman you will ALWAYS find a sensible buyer for your SC430 .. surely 🤣 Now then, can you also afford the Road Tax and insurance ? Malc

  5. if not under warranty then might be good to explore the SGS route above if that's possible . might save you a fortune £££ Malc
  6. Good luck with it all today At least you should be pretty confident that there’s a more economic and sensible solution than the Lexus Main Dealer option Malc
  7. great video . thank you so then . not at all surprised my brilliant 1991 Ls400 cost £/$ 1 bn to produce . I own a £1bn car 😇 . not many can say that with impunity Malc
  8. You’re saving a wonderful car for perpetuity Well done Keep us posted My 95 Mk3 is a Cat N write-off from some 5 years back Fought like hell with the insurers to let me keep it on the road …… just a single rear door slightly squashed damage and simply fixed ….. and kept SO take care your Ls400 is kept close to your heart eh ! Road Wars happen and silly things happen to undo the best laid plans Keep us posted with your progress please Malc
  9. driving thru' Turin in about 2018 I did note the road steel crash barriers were of a very very rusty colour in the most part . comparing our UK ones of maybe bright galvanised colour I put that down to the same quality steel being used in my buddy's Lancia all that time back Malc
  10. When I was buying my Amayama UCAs a few years back the overall delivered cost after all Duty VAT whatever was about 50% of the Lexus/Toyota Main Dealer prices Malc
  11. Nostalgia trip then ……. Buddy at work just before we had our first company cars as impoverished junior bank managers …….. bought a brand new Lancia ( Fulvia was it ? ) which FAILED its very first MOT on rust ……. those halcyon days of some Italian cars Malc

  17. lemon drizzle cake maybe .......... LOOK EVERYONE . just behave please 🥶 is it too difficult for free thinking Lexus Forum Members to understand that all that's required, nay stipulated, is for a ONE WORD ANSWER YES or NO ....... Yay or Nay will possibly suffice too .... or even in a foreign language ... what's the Russian for Y or N ? Malc
  18. Mr Adrian Flux is on here somewhere . he pops up whenever someone thinks about getting an insurance quote ! AF are probably programmed to see what's going on whenever the word " insurance " pops up Malc
  19. the Ls400 V8 4 ltr is really as quiet as a mouse in deep slumber ! have you driven one or stood besides one thinking it's not been started ? creeping almost silently up on pedestrians who are shocked realising they are about to be mown down if the driver wished AND does anyone have credible reasons from an Insurer as to why this Tesla model is just about uninsurable ? Maybe the Adrian Flux guys here can reveal ? Thanks Malc
  20. we as a family were a little blessed seemingly having the use of a benevolent employer I guess ...... .... my dad drove many wonderful expensive cars as a chauffeur to a south London brewery ..... directors ...... who lived all over the south of England ....... big, it seemed, Rover P5s, P6s Wolseley 6/110 ( which i learnt to drive on a little . couldn't do that these days i know ! ) ........ Austin 3 litre ( problem cars i think ) and earlier a big Vauxhall Wyvern or Cresta was it ...... then my dad retired early 1970's and bought himself a beautiful blue and cream Wolseley 16/60 .. which matched mine but that was rose taupe and sandy beige .. lovely cars for the time . would be even now if many/any existed Rust always takes it's toll Maybe that's why I'm personally in a bit of a timewarp for these past 25 years with my amazing V8 4ltr Ls400s 😅 Malc
  21. Trips back in time eh 🫢 Malc
