Saudi has some amazing credentials with in-humanity issues 🥵 OMG. just reading Qatar is about to execute some India nationals, secret trial as spies Modi will probably impose some severe degradation on Qatari peoples in India but won’t execute them, devout Hindus rarely do so …… chuck out all the ambassadors no doubt and freeze trade and bring back all the Indian workers in Qatar …… bring Qatar to its knees probably with zero imported workforce to develop that nation’s aspirations …… on the back of its Gas sales …… hot hot air 😂 AND ban all Indians shopping at Harrods 🥵 And the Hamas global HQ in Qatar will continue unaffected no doubt …….. well done Qatar ! just a tad more serious than the dreadful state we’re getting into with the gross incompetencies seen in our Social welfare regimes ……. The Social Lunatics running the Asylum ……. in England anyway ! …… from my first hand close current, running experience of Social Services gross incompetencies putting a child’s life at peril …….. Rant over ! I’ll quietly go underground now-on-in 😇 Malc

I am who I am and see real life dreadful outcomes at first hand, right now, from this pussyfooting society in the UK where Social and other Services seem to be causing irreperable harm to kids thinking they are doing good ....... saying it needs an overhaul would be an understatement . sadly those doing any overhaul would be the incompetents that are running it all right now ........ they are causing direct harm to many by their gross incompetencies and lack of sensible " real world " training ....... . and the cost to the taxpayer, you and me is beyond belief .......... One day it all might be analysed BUT what we desperately need is a simple ££££££ analysis to be put before Society and then watch the likely Revolution ! Enuf is Enuf ........... bring on the Stocks, Whips and Chains ............ hanging would be too good for some of 'em !😇 Malc

Have they given you a sensible cost for this ? Malc

Love and cherish her but for heavens sake use her just as much as you can ……. Malc

Damnably amazing that Society has got itself into a crackpot situation where the taxpayer, you and me, are paying stupid money to keep kids and others mental health in a state of stupor, from age 5 say, coz the crappy parents haven’t a clue how to bring up their families …….. bring back the olden times when deep analysis of kids affectations resulted in a simple and effective “ wallop “ and then forthwith all was amazingly Well ….. no cost outcomes eh ! Society has gone stark raving nuts 🥵 Malc

Have you a usual friendly competent garage mechanic that services your cars ? he’d be your first call ! good luck Malc

find a good professional car thief to get into it and drive it away to your preferred parking lot somewhere and go from there with sorting out replacement keys ! Get 2 at least ! Malc

In my 1991 Ls400 in Wales last week my sun hat sitting on the back seat got a bit wet overnight ..... just sitting there ... all windows fully closed etc BUT it got wet a little ....... I think the incredibly torrential rain must have found an impossible weak spot and let some in, maybe overrode the usual grommits and window rubber seals whatever ...... nowhere else in the car .... of course That torrential rain might, for you, have just penetrated the impossible Malc

Good luck with it all ..... keep us posted please Malc

1991 Ls400 new MOT today with zero Advisories thankfully ............ 98,546 miles and i seem to have lost the slight misfire I had . maybe it was the 812 miles i did last week over 5 days with some motorway driving, oh, and thru' some Welsh floods too All Good and I'm HAPPY My 1995 Ls400 28th Birthday today too 🤩 Malc

money money money ......... there's a song in that somewhere 😅 Malc

WHY DO YOU THINK YOU NEED A LEXUS EXPERT ??? I've only ever used my local indy garages for the past 25 years with my Ls400s ...... it's simply a car and older parts are available with some diligent sensible searching by the competent and sensible garage you want to trust to do your work .. my old Ls400 has recently been fitted with 2nd hand bits from the USA by the previous owner . but I don't know which supplier it was I think the plethora of Ls400s in the USA has spawned a great number of spares there. Go find some long established back street garage and tell them your predicament and get them to do the whole job . let them make some useful profit and you'll be fine I'm sure Give the job to someone who knows about cars eh ! Maybe get them to do a MOT re-test too ! Good luck Malc

Maybe Bank Managers might have driven Ls400s back in the day ……. had we been allowed to have a “ foreign “ car as a “ bank car “ Remembering one of my bank manager bosses actually had his own RR ….. and probably a private income too …… those were the days ……. When cars was cars and petrol was shillings and pennies a gallon 😄 …… and Mr Mannering bank managers existed along with their branches ……. long gone I’m afraid …….. along with the waistcoat 😂 Malc

On my 4ltr V8 1991 Ls400 last week and over 812 miles in 5 days ….. motorway speeds and with full-stop Qs on and off all the way from Kent to north Wales …… and back …… with Snowdon mountain track roads, hills and valleys, towns and down to the new 20mph speed camera hitting villages …… I averaged 28.4 mpg pretty good for an elderly 4 ltr V8 eh ! 😄👍 Malc -
Are you insuring your 1992 car ? This might help .. the " new to me " 1991 Ls400 . I got quotes on-line from MoneySupermarket BUT had to go-back on the on-line quote as I had mis-stated about the 15" wheels ......... This was after I had almost got to paying and I took note of the Coy Name quoting for the insce ... the new M/S quote came up with another insurer and lots more ££££ and the original quote had just vanished I went on to that original quoting coy website with the 15" wheel scenario and lo'n behold, by going direct effectively on their own website I had saved myself £100+ 👍 It was a subsidiary of Adrian Flux .. but notwithstanding my grief some years back with these guys I swallowed my pride and used their insurance coy for this time ........... Fingers xd all will be well for me Saga my normal insurers refused to insure my 1991 car as it was over 30 years young ........... I'll doubtless have similar issues when my 1995 Ls400 car insce is due too Good luck Malc

Bob, what other main car do you drive ? Malc

I find it amazing that your garage is bereft of common sense trying to source relatively simple parts Brake pipes come off a roll usually The other parts from Rockauto as above or Amayama maybe ….. just get a better garage on board to search the internet a lot more thoroughly …… and do this relatively simple maintenance work All your parts will be available Your garage needs to be more diligent Yiu are using an independent credible garage for maintenance etc ? Do tell us more about your rare car Malc

So Tesla’s Range isn’t that good either

Simply surely, a rapid visit to the refuelling point ……. BP fuel / petrol station style where Toyota maybe have some preplanning with the likes of BP , Shell, Esso ……. Refuelling EVs needs to be simplified and this should work ok Malc -
Wonder if The Guardian simply uses it's own AI to write all this stuff ! Malc
