  1. A superb buy for sure ….. hope it includes rights to use the Highland Estate for fishing too whatever …… oh, by the way there’s clearly a mistype, a 0 too many on the price I’m thinking ….. £300 might be more sensible eh ! 🥵 Malc
  2. And the costs both upfront and ongoing are a bit irrelevant with a Saudi Arabia State Fund that really is simply a forever “ Bottomless Pit “ Could be similar to the Norway similar State Fund should that nation wish to venture that way too Malc
  3. I’ve found over the decades that the Ls400 is possibly the least expensive car to use ( apart from mpg ) and maintain ….. also doing preventative maintenance too …… over 00,000s miles My car sales business way back threw up all sorts of expensive fixes for common day and other not so common cars and certainly reading the cost to “ fix “ modern day Lexii …… well, just horror stories needing very deep pockets The V8 4ltr Ls400 and 430 is great value all round 😄….. and shouldn’t break the finite bank going forward hopefully Malc
  4. this seems to have been removed ! Malc
  5. suggest when wind is breaking to have the roof open, secondly, did the music play " rock " ? Malc
  6. Lexus lost the plot when they moved " up " from the Ls400 ...... don't create and moan about the EVs just go buy yourselves another Ls400 maybe and ENJOY 😉 Malc
  7. I've been " liberated " all my life then 🤩 Malc
  8. I'm forever wary of unsolicited emails, especially " opening attachments " . fraught with bad risk I'm afraid ... don't do it ! stay safe ! Malc
  9. I wouldn't want to be a dealer holding and financing stock for sure 😥 Malc
  10. Thank you for this insight My Falkens are brilliant and I would use those again but seem to have fallen off the radar unless I pay 50% more than last time 😰 …… and hard to track down too Steve has given real time user review above and thank you Anyone else actually using them ? Thank you Malc
  11. Anyone experience of these and their everyday use ? Thank you Malc
  12. Oh jeez ……. Thought you might be a 100% Natural Joker 😂 Malc
  13. Any maintenance history throwing light on prior works ? I would personally wait for the next MOT time to reveal any potential issues …… unless there have been unattended to Advisories Malc
  14. Try the Kia Carens …… built for the purpose and value for money ……. Ls600 rear seat 5th small adult ok …… a rare event maybe to carry back seat pax ? Malc
  15. Oh my ……. wot ‘appnd to my suggestion to rent a little time on a garage ramp …… and save that 999 call to A&E 🤔 Buying that trolley jack £££££ cost might equate to garage ramp rent time you know ! We’ll miss your Posts you know 😰 Malc
  16. 😂😂😂😂😂 but hardly run-in …… yes Qamar yours is worth at least £35k ….. and mine £25000 and £15000 ( have we left a nought or two off these figures ? ) Blimey, someone’s going nuts over our beloved Ls’s’ 😄 Malc
  17. and of course you need to be able to rub two bits together to get the heat for the flame to light it all 🥵 Malc
  18. A youngster in our midst 👏 Malc
  19. If one is happy to use a bespoke stick-on replacement non tinted non heated glass mirror they can be ordered relatively inexpensive I bought one for my Ls400 @ £25 a couple of years ago ….. I had to send a paper template so be careful about that The new glass picks up the “ heat” from the original glass anyway ! A comparatively inexpensive fix if one wished to go that route ! Malc
  20. Is there one amongst us do you think ? is that a piccy of Ursula Von der Leyen ….. the EU lady ? Malc
  21. Don’t know your car’s mileage but lots of original stuff lasts 100/200k miles ……. the rubber boots / dust covers perish with age too and are relatively inexpensive …… but are necessary protection and often subject to an MOT Advisory If you’ve not yet had MOT or Advisory issues then it’s possible all is well currently …… if you can put up with some aged creaks and groans Everything always looks rust coloured underside but rarely of importance …….. Those creaks and groans might just be telling you that she needs using a lot more …… my recent purchase of the 1991 Mk1 worried me a little with those interminable and incessant creaks……. which with a lot of use have seemingly now just “ vanished “ Your car, if it’s not MOT Advisory nor Failure condition then it might be as well to leave alone and use her more ! Good luck making the right cost saving decisions Malc
