  1. You need 4 matching tyres on these cars. Certain brands on the rear wear in a stepped pattern and that is when a rumble like a wheel bearing starts. I've had this with my RX450h and changing tyres instantly cured the issue.
  2. Aaaah I fell into that trap 2 years ago. My car was rejected twice and on the third occasion the paint split and bubbled on the rear wheel arch 2 days after it was returned. . Annoying as I'd just traded it in. A deal was done that the bodyshop ' Nationwide' would get it sorted. Lexus had to reject it again as the rear suspension had been incorrectly refitted and the rear bumper was out of line. Car was 2 years old
  3. Phone insurers and tell them you want it repaired at a Lexus Bodyshop. Speak with your dealer and try and negotiate a loan car.
  4. I wouldn't bother. My current RX was gard x protected inside and out by dealer Outside no good aftwxarcprepared for resale. I bought some gard x leather treatment for peanuts off ebay. Apparently the valeters always have tons left over and sell it on
  5. I'd rather hear the noise than get hit on the head with the tailgate 😂
  6. It's a debit card with a preloaded amount of cash. Just use it like any other debit card. If you put Primacy 4 on your GS you will be very happy, likewise cross Climates
  7. I spoke to a local owner before buying my RX and he struggled to get 33mpg. My RX450h regularly exceeds that. Make sure you watch the YouTube video on hybrid driving
  8. Michelin premier 4 are a fantastic tyre (had them on my GS 300h.) Michelin Cross Climates extremely good also(currently fitted to my RX450h. They frequently do cashback offers, I got £100 back on preloaded visa debit card
  9. Try personal loan with your bank. Car belongs to you. You would need to borrow more, but just repay the excess straight away sub 4% is about right if your credit score is okay.
  10. I would suggest there is an electrical problem. A call to your dealer is the way forward
  11. GDPR is crazy. The service book with my car is a replacement and doesn't show previous keeper details. I'm sure they made a new one up because of GDPR
  12. I decided a long time ago never to mess with mirrors. I arrived home with new mirror and as I took it out of the car the mirror slipped out of the box......
  13. My car came from the same source and was bought based upon description. When collected it required extensive cosmetic paintwork which they tried to deal with by smart repair. They realised it wasn't going to work and so the rear offside door and the tailgate were refinished in their Lexus Bodyshop in Leicester. The tailgate was refinished as a warranty claim.
  14. Fountains Abbey. You need to stay there to be able to access the entire estate out of hours by car hence my car by the church
  15. This is the problem when 'champagne socialists' are empowered in our capital. Think yourself lucky Corbyn isn't in power you'd probably be in a pony and trap..
  16. Continental are a good brand and I would definitely get them on the car ASAP so you have 4 matching tyres. That will give you a better idea of how the car performs. I wouldn't mess with the suspension. This is a big heavy car sticking a lot of power down through the front end and not a sports car. I used to have a BMW Z3 2.8 and the traction control was antiquated. You could put it sideways pulling away from a standstill on a dry road 😁. Are the tyre pressures at Lexus recommended level or tyre manufacturers? I would get 4 matching tyres fitted as a priority.
  17. The trouble is with modern diesels is that they work well for people like me who drive 500 miles a week in mixed conditions. Two people I know well ignored my advice and bought Audi and VW Golf diesels as 'shopping cars', engines never getting warm. Stratospheric bills on cars that are ultra low mileage and still having (and will have issues). Funny that car salesmen always sold the economy benefits and low tax. Never mention major engine issues though. I know of someone who's parents bought a new RAV 4 and junked the engine in less than 3000 miles.. I don't think the issue is with position of DPF it is because engine is not travelling far enough to warm up. I ran a fiat diesel, an Alfa diesel, 2 mini diesels and 2 Mercedes diesels over 140,000 miles and never had a DPF issue, in fact I never recollect seeing regeneration because the engines were always running hot. I changed to Lexus because of the quality 👍
  18. Thats what I thought until I drove both 😊
  19. Whoops, saw the title and thought it was a meeting for BMW Mini owners. My experience of the new Mini would suggest many might break down on the way 😂
  20. Inchcape have their own bodyshop in Leicester
  21. Haven't got them now but on my previous GS and before that my IS300h F sport I rarely used them. On the IS it also had the noise generator switch which was also something as useful as a chocolate teapot.
  22. I paid £700 for my set and got the £100 cashback.
  23. Owning Lexus says that you have tired of sitting around in your BMW or Mercedes waiting for recovery...
  24. Just covered 3000 miles on my new crossclimates fitted in October. Highly recommended
