On my regular business route there is a distinct lack of chargers so it sadly isn't for me at present. This was reinforced last week when I visited some Council offices where they have a fleet of electric pool cars. A poor unfortunate came to collect their vehicle and the previous user had put it on charge but not switched on the charger 😭

Once bought a 1996 E34 BMW 5 series off ebay when drunk for £1200. Ran it for 18 trouble free months. Sold it for £1500. 😊👍

I now use the cheapest fuel as the performance advantage would be negligible with all the power in my car. I occasionally put redex in the tank, but my car is always running hot. Last week I did 1000 miles in a loan IS300h using standard fuel and the performance was extremely good with mpg in excess of 50mpg. I remember when I had an Audi Quattro there was a plug type switch mechanism to alter between normal and super fuel. Seem to remember my 2.8 Z3 also was adjustable.

The battery capacity would stop me from buying a Tesla with such a small range. I often do 175 business miles a day with domestic motoring on top so 200-mile would leave me with sweaty palms😊

Well car collected this afternoon. Very pleased with the look of the wheels. They have advised me not to pressure wash them for a couple of days. Whilst the car was there it was MOT'd and they took a look at the reversing camera which I thought was often slow to switch in. The result is that they couldn't find any issue but from previous experience suspect a media hard drive problem. Lexus Warranty have authorised the replacement of the media hard drive unit which I understand costs a wallet busting £1800. For convenience this will be changed at next service as the unit has to be shipped form Japan. Well done Lexus Cheltenham .

The 2nd Ebay f Sport lower bumper has damage! so no advantage there. I thought the quote was pretty reasonable all things considered. A front bumper on a Fiat 500 in pearlescent paint was £1900 18 months ago (The paint cost an unbelievable £900).

The reason I bought an RX rather than an NX was that after 10 miles on a test drive my back was hurting.... 😞

All 3 Lexus I've owned sometimes move a little when parking brake applied. The 2018 IS300h moves slightly when parking brake applied.

I was expecting to get my car back on Thursday or Friday. I heard nothing so rang my dealer. Apparently the refurbished wheels won't be back from the refurbishers until Tuesday now. Still I have put 650 miles on the loan car since last Tuesday which means my car won't need servicing for an extra week. Miss the comfort of it though despite the loan IS300h being a very nice car.

Having previously owned a 2014 IS300h f sport (ex Sir Geoff Hurst) I am currently in a2018 loan IS300h executive which I agree feels a lot quicker and is certainly more economical than the earlier version.

Well in four days I have driven 640 miles. Fuel consumption has been great. Average consumption has been in excess of 52mpg over this mileage according to the computer. Was expecting to get my car back today but was surprised to learn that my wheels won't be back with the dealer until late Tuesday. I pointed out that I was putting starship mileage on the loan car and the answer was'that's what they're for'. That is why I love Lexus. 😍

Definitely wouldn't run out of fuel as there is bound to be a few years worth of crud in the bottom of the tank. I never let the tank go below a quarter. Even that has caught me out. I once owned an Audi A4Quattro where the gauge and computer went faulty without me knowing and I ran out of petrol with 1/4 tank showing...

My car has the rubber one and I think it's a more practical option. If I had the stainless versiwid be constantly fretting.

Whilst my RX450h is having its wheels refurbished i am using a 2018 IS300h Executive loan car.. Having previously owned a 2014 IS300h f Sport i am no stranger to the breed. Firstly i have to say that this model rides far better than my F Sport did and the seats are more comfortable on a long journey. In 2 days I have so far covered just over 300 miles on less than half a tank of petrol. The computer has been giving me an average of just under 55mpg so a pretty good consumption. Build quality is excellent ,the car having covered around 5,700 miles there are no rattles or creaks anywhere. The navigation system is awkward to use and my trusty Tomtom sits on the screen doing its job admirably. The speed limit camera fitted to the IS like others of its ilk should not be relied upon. i am sure that there isn't a 100mph speed limit in Kidderminster despite what the car says.... One thing I have noticed which may be down to this later models aggressive styling is that everyone wants to overtake and then test the radar cruise controls braking efficiency. Still I got my own back yesterday when on a stretch of road I know will have a mobile speed camera. a BMW Mini came blasting past me and then decided he needed to pull in too late -you've got it the camera van was there. That is the 2nd time in a week some numpty has overtaken me into the jaws of 3 penalty points! - on the same stretch of road. All in all a nicely screwed together car , but the lack of auto folding mirrors and electric seat adjustment does seem a bit off on a car of this calibre.

My corroded alloy wheel claim was rejected by Lexus Warranty, ( car out of 3 year warranty)but then the matter was referred by the Dealer to Lexus Customer Service who authorised repair, so its worth pushing that aspect if you don't get any joy initially.

Sadly Lexus aren't alone. Mercedes are the same. I think they all buy and fit the wheel nuts in the UK from the same supplier.

I am currently driving a 2018 IS300h while my wheels are refurbished. The standard radio of non ML spec sounds much better than my ML system.

Glad it's fixed. Nothing more irritating than a minor paint issue.

The lane change flasher duration can be set up in the car menu. Ive reset mine to 7 flashes.

Called in to the wheel refurbishers today. They suggested Shadow Chrome due to the style of my wheels which they showed me on a wheel up against my car. Finish is very similar to the finish on the f sport wheels.
