  1. To confuse things my 2015 pre face-lift GS300h luxury had rear cross traffic radar and ventilated seats. My car had ML. I understand that the face-lift GS lost the rear cross traffic radar. On this basis you'll need to carefully check the spec of individual cars you look at.
  2. I strongly suggest that you have a good long test drive in any NX as the ride and seat comfort can vary quite considerably. I also had a long conversation with a guy in the service department who said they have lots of complaints from NX owners who get really poor fuel consumption. Apparently only getting around 32mpg which is the same or less than my RX.
  3. That is so sad, but I know exactly where you're at. I wanted an NX but the ride and seats after only 10 miles made me choose the RX.
  4. That's exactly what my neighbour did with his Honda
  5. My neighbour had some cretin steal the catalytic converter of his 2002 Honda Civic a few months ago whist parked on his drive
  6. Here are some hopefully better pictures of my refurbished wheels taken today. As rayaans pointed out the strip at the front of the car matches nicely.
  7. Travelling to find the right car can pay dividends. In 2014 I bought a 1500 miles mini clubman with full John Cooper works body kit for £14000,. The previous week the car had been advertised for £20000 at another branch. I put 20000 miles on it a d traded it for £650 more.
  8. My recollection with the 450 is that the 60000 miles service is the biggest as spark plugs are changed necessitating part of the exhaust dropping.

  10. My snow button is faulty. No matter how many times I press it the snow never falls. Typical because I spent a fortune on cross Climates 😇
  11. Love my RX450h, best of everything. Very comfortable with loads of power and good economy. Haven't driven a 400h, but am sure you will enjoy whichever you choose. I would try and buy a car with Lexus warranty on it as it is comprehensive and the dealer can get anything authorised pronto. I commented last week when my car was mot'd that the reverse camera was slow. New media unit ordered which would have cost nearly 2 grand without warranty. Good luck in finding the right car.
  12. I have driven a few CT200s. The last one I drove from New and covered around 1000 miles in 2 weeks. That car was registered in July 2018 and rode better than a2016 model l had driven previously. Very economical and quite lively. Personally would prefer a low spec IS300h. Had onwon loan a couple of weeks ago and was getting low 50s mpg.
  13. Paint protection is an expensive dealer money maker. Use a good modern Polish. Try chemical guys blackllight with their V70 spritzed on after washing. Looks great and is easy to apply. Beads water well even afte6, months.
  14. Certainly my silver RX doesn't seem to suffer despite pounding up and down the M5 most days. My previous pearlescent white GS was also pretty good. Before that the celestial black IS300h was definitely not as robust and showed every mark. Strange as an obsidian black Mercedes was much less prone to marks. Not owned a car in sonic titanium but your comments might dissuade me from that colour.
  15. Totally agree. When I ran BMW and Mercedes I had local specialists for servicing and repairs.
  16. 60 miles a week is the issue. My RX450h which is a lot heavier is averaging between 32 and 36mpg at present BUT I'm driving around 550 miles a week so car is always hot.
  17. Not an expert on modern diesels but if it is blue oil smoke could it be due to bore wear and oil burning as it bypasses the piston rings when hot. Carefully checking the oil level daily would certainly assist in deciding if the engine is burning undue amounts of oil.
  18. Not what you want to read. Am I right in thinking that the 350 has a cambelt. Changing that with the water pump might be a good idea unless it's been recently done. As for the brakes I know a local fastfit quoted £740 for pads and discs all round on Mini... Surprised the car needs so much work if it's been regularly serviced. Would make me question the standard of service at your garage if so many things need attention at once . Worth getting a quote elsewhere. Don't know where you are but Lexus Cheltenham give me 15% membership discount on parts and labour . Had my car mot last week and there was a non failure split in a wiper blade. Mot and 3 wiper blades came to £79 odd in total.
  19. If I was paying I might well now go direct to the refurbishers although my dealer really looked after me. My wheels were totally stripped to bare metal and then powder coated. Sadly my pictures don't do justice to the super shiny finish when the light hits them.
  20. Doesn't always come on without going back into park and retrying. At other times the screiwilk be blank for a couple of seconds before coming on. Definitely slower than my 2015 GS300h and my 2014 IS300h
  21. Took another picture today after the car was washed (and rained on) Unfortunately the picture doesn't do the finish justice.
  22. Same issues last week in a loan IS300h. 100mph speed limit on Kidderminster. The satnav in that car was hopeless as it used a wheel type control instead of the mouse.
  23. The reason I bought an RX rather than an NX was that after 10 miles on a test drive my back was hurting.... 😞
