  1. Chemical Guys do a fabric protectant which I have successfully used on several cars.
  2. Well I took my wife yesterday to Homebase to buy a small tin of outside paint. She has been talking recently about getting some more storage space in the garage for household items to free up cupboard space in the house. Well we encountered a very stylish garage Workstation unit with stainless finish drawers and cupboards. Drawers run nicely and are all lined in black foam. A nice wooden worktop finishes it off nicely. At £749 it's exceptionally good value compared to other tool units and is huge at 72 inches long. Sadly I have spent this afternoon moving everything to fit it in when it arrives on Monday 😂😂😂
  3. At my dealer this week they were quoting July for UX. December for ES as many more orders than Lexus envisaged.
  4. I was at my Dealer's yesterday and the salesman I usually deal with was telling me that Lexus have been caught out by the high demand for the ES. Currently orders for UX are July delivery, but ES is now December delivery if you want to order a specific vehicle.
  5. They are a 100% quieter than the previous OE Dunlops. The ride is much softer and both wet and dry grip much improved especially at low temperatures. Fantastic in snow too.
  6. Michelin Cross Climates. Mine have done 10000 miles since October and are barely worn.
  7. Concussion caused by bouncing around in said Seat😂😂😂
  8. I bought my 2015 RX450h last year with 26000 miles and it has now covered 45,000 miles. Still feels perfectly solid and tight. I drive on a lot of rough side roads and never have any issues with creaks or rattles. My previous 2015 GS300h certainly felt well screwed together also and certainly in terms of build quality was a step up from my 2014 IS300h F Sport.
  9. Sadly I remember the days when the mileometer returned to zero after this ...........
  10. I think the point is overall reliability rather than comparing different classes of vehicle. Certainly my experience of newer German cars hasn't been great which is why ' i'm turning Japanese' 🙂
  11. Congestion charge is payable unless the vehicle is Euro 6 Compliant so I would have to pay that , but not ULEZ - I checked online -certainly my RX450h is exempt.
  12. Can't help with the leak, but servicing/mot seems a little pricey. My dealer charges £39 for MOT.
  13. https://www.whatcar.com/news/best-and-worst-older-suvs-for-reliability/n19173 No. 4
  14. Appears to be the case. Sadly they didn't update the navigation mapping...
  15. Looked at 'My Lexus'. States 'Replaced hard drive u, Disc, Disc player'.
  16. The problem lies with the company Lexus used to refurbish the wheels. The powder coating in the valve recess isn't totally flat.
  17. Is there a full hybrid version of the Kuga other than plug in?
  18. Well 75 miles from home on the coldest day of the year jump into my car which has Been parked for 1 1/2 hours to find the TPMS light on and 4tyres showing 2.4 bars and one 1.9. Now the car was serviced on Monday so it's all a bit odd. Bearing in mind the wheels were refurbished about 3weeks ago. Pull onto a nearby Asda forecourt and pump all tyres up to 2.5bar. It's snowing and 1 degree. Drive on M54 to Shrewsbury a 20 minute drive and now 3 tyres are 2. 6 Bar and one is 2.4 bar. Decided to ring Cheltenham Lexus who advise me to call in. Arrive there at 3pm and car taken straight into workshop. 2hours later the news- The refurbished wheel on the rear nearside is leaking air around the valve . They have removed some excess paint but it still isn't sealing. They have managed to seal the leak using a standard valve. The car is booked in on 15th for the wheel to be refinished and I'm having a loan car. I shall be keeping a very close eye on the pressure in that tyre during the interim period as the TPMS light is constantly on now. I suspect that checking the pressures at service was enough to make the leak apparent. Hey Ho.
