Built by Takumi craftsman really bad service by UK Lexus centers

Because Lexus Dealers are Owned by a number of different Garage Groups eg Listers, Inchcape, Fish Bros etc. -
Firstly pictures are required😊 Please describe which model and colour you have. The portal and spoken lady are definitely some sort of black art which being on my 4th Lexus in less than 4 years are something that I have still to master 😂

The car is less than 3 years old and under manufacturers warranty . I take it that it was purchased from a Lexus Dealer. If that is the case take it back to the dealer and insist that they correct the damage. Lexus dealers often don't prepare cars to the approved used car standard, and they may well have done the paintwork, or rather had it quickly smart repaired. They generally don't use a Lexus Bodyshop for cosmetic work.

As I said in my previous post filling the holes a little at a time is your best option. The pearlescent white is another tricky colour to touch in ( you've no doubt worked out that I've owned both). Strangely the Mercury Grey seems much better to touch in. I Bought a touch up set from Lexus Parts Direct and whilst waiting for it noticed a chip in the drivers door edge. Went through my collection of touch up pencils and put some Ford Seal Grey on it. Match is so good I can't find where it was now..

I feel your pain. The best way to disguise I have found with silver will to be to gradually fill the scratches with paint on the end of a cocktail stick or a very fine artists brush. Build it up gradually cutting back the excess with a fine abrasive polish. Lexus silver is unfortunately one of the worst colours to touch in. Fortunately being on the curved area behind the door handle I think if you are patient and do it gradually it will blend in very well. I Had a scratch on the lower door area on my silver 2015 RX that I missed when I bought the car and that when touched in couldn't be seen unless you looked very hard for it. Good luck in fixing it.

After 4 months & 4000 miles

Just realised that Kevin is in beautiful Wicklow. That might contribute towards his consumption figures being in such a mountainous area with the narrow roads, altitude and attendant hordes of tourists. -

Have you viewed the Lexus YouTube video on driving a hybrid. My 2017 RX450h over the 3300 miles I have owned it has averaged 35.67 mpg. I refuelled yesterday and the last tankful was 38.8mpg admittedly quite gently driven). These are tankful to tankful figures from my phone app so are accurate. -

The instructions for setting everything up on the car are so complex. I managed to set it up on my 2017 RX450h, but I had to fiddle with the menus to find the settings. I had a heck of a job finding the setting so the nav screen would auto dim. In the end I realised there was an extra button by the return to menu icon. I think you'll need to check all the menus and sub menus to find it. I don't believe it's been deleted from your model. Have you downloaded the full manuals from Lexus website? -

1. Has timing belt been replaced at correct mileage. 2.Is water pump leaking and was it replaced with (1). 3. If its inverter problem then why consider 1and 2 unless it saves labour sorting inverter. Thermostat could be the cause of course which is hopefully a cheap job. Head gasket issues can normally be determined by a decent mechanic I would have thought. I don't quite understand why the petrol engine would overheat if the Hybrid radiator was the problem as I thought there were 2 separate systems for hybrid and petrol(but I may well be wrong). Might be worth getting a 3rd opinion before throwing money into the car. -
At 6'4 I would be considering perhaps an IS300h or a GS300h. Both have more interior room and are fuel efficient. My 2015 GS300h if anything was better on petrol than the IS300h. Both will exceed 40mpg easily. The GS on a round trip from Gloucester toy London including driving in heavy traffic did 54mpg checked tankful to tankful.

Flat Toyota iQ - cannot get in, even with key blade
olliesgrandad replied to Mincey's topic in Lexus General Discussions
In the olden days when I was in the police we used packing tape to go through the door seals and then put pressure on to lift the button or hook over the handle and pull. I suspect that these days it will not be so easy. -
Try an RX450h if you want comfort in a vehicle suitable for your Irish bog roads (I have dual citizenship with my family being out in North Tipperary). I have owned both a 2015 3rd generation Advance model and now a 2017 Premier Both would be good. The adjustable suspension in my current car is fabulous and the ML sound system is superb.

Fabulous colour. Enjoy 👍

Apologies but just quickly read this post. I had an issue with my alignment check on my last RX450h in that the tyre centre set the tracking up based upon my private number plate. Unfortunately that was for my previous 2015 GS300h. Luckily I spotted the model on the printout and they rechecked it. Fortunately the figures for the GS were identical to the RX and all was fine.
