New owner questions E92 M3 to IS F
Rusty Crobar replied to ecswtrav's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Hi and welcome. Coincidentally I met a new M3 at the lights today. I wasn't trying to race but I was in a rush and the other driver seemed to take it as an invitation... From 0-60 it was neck and neck, completely even! Then traffic got in the way and he turned off. I'm pretty impressed with the old girl keeping up with a £60k car (I'm just going to assume the other guy was trying 😁). -
'Cassic' car you wish you bought.

I really wanted an integrale until the prices went crazy 😟 -
Michelin PS4 update
Rusty Crobar replied to Rusty Crobar's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
You're the only man I would trust with my extra inches 😉 -
This update probably isn't very helpful for those of you running standard wheels but thought you might find it interesting! I've had my new Michelin PS4'S on for a few days. My wheels are an inch wider than standard all round so I was able to fit 255s up front and 275 in the back. I've heard some isf owners run a square set up with 255s all round which would have been an easier fit on the rear but I think this is only really suitable for the track. With an aggressive offset, lowered suspension and 275s I had to get the rear arches rolled. A local bodyshop called endless road did an amazing job including full weather proofing and respray of the outer arches for just £270. First impressions are very good. The car feels rock solid and cornering speeds are even higher than before 😊. The standard tyre set up on the isf is already excellent and I never felt it needed more grip on the road but the wider set up takes it to a new level. I think you would need to do crazy speed to get understeer, although I guess 400bhp will still light up the rears if you want 😁. I can't really say if the PS4'S are better than the mpss I had on before as they were standard size but both are excellent tyres. I think our tame professional driver @Big Rat should take my car for a test drive to see what he thinks... 😎 No pictures sorry as it's impossible to photo black tyres on a black car!

Knurl spline diameter
Rusty Crobar replied to Rusty Crobar's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
No, still got the same wheels but I've always known I could do with longer studs (I'll let you make the jokes about this ), due to the more aggressive offset. -
Knurl spline diameter
Rusty Crobar replied to Rusty Crobar's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Here you go @Flytvr: Knurl / Spline Measurements This is the part of the stud which fits into the wheel hub and ensures the wheel studs stays in place and does not rotate when wheel nuts are screwed onto the wheel stud. As this fit is key to installing wheel studs into you hub correctly, it is critical that you select the correct spline diameter. If the Spline / Knurl size is too small the wheel stud will rotate in the hub, thus making it impossible to tighten any wheel nuts onto it, also if the Spline / Knurl diameter is too big you will not be able to press the wheel studs into the hub -
Knurl spline diameter

I don't know what I'm talking about, that's the problem! I need some new bolts to stick the wheels on to but I don't know the right specs! Thanks for trying @Big Rat but I'm none the wiser 😂 -
I need some extended wheel hub studs for my new alloys but struggling to find the right specs. Apparently there is a knurl / spline and I need to know the correct diameter! Help! Does anyone also know the standard length of the isf studs? I believe the studs are M12x1.5 but the other things above are proving hard to find 😟

What is the inside lane? Is that where people without 5.0 V8s hang out? 😁 -

Well after spending over £2k in the last week on getting her perfect it'll be a while before I look to sell 😁 -

@Pecker it's a custom one, it was on the car when I bought it. No idea who made it! -

If it really is as nice as it looks then I think £16.5k would be fair. -
Standard new tyres rubbing?
Rusty Crobar replied to Matrixxxx's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Yes, plenty of head scratching before changing. 255/35 is a good match for the standard tyre overall but my wider wheels are causing the issue. Maybe I'll try something a bit smaller next time 🤔 -
Finally, a mechanical issue!

Hmm, not really! Hopefully the spending will stop after this week 🖒 -

It's been a tough time for the finances, I can't lie! The tyres alone were £740 🙉 It's going in to have the rear arches rolled tomorrow to give the tyres some breathing space 😁 -

255s up front and 275s out back, Michelin PS4'S 😊. Early days but it feels good 🖒
