  2. Is applying a wrap to 'fresh' paint recommended? If a manufacturer were to offer a wrap it may add time to delivery, or maybe more scope to use a dealer's stock car?
  3. A good coating of quality wax will go a long way to lessen the potential damage from bird lime Even though my car is ceramic coated I apply some Meg's Ultimate to the horizontal surfaces and so far, so good. My previous RC, also ceramic coated didn't have a wax applied and suffered two attacks that needed a detailer's intervention
  4. If you are going for something different, wrapping is the way... 😎 If you want to freshen up tired paintwork, the prep work is likely to far outstrip the wrapping costs! Be aware reversing (unwrapping) the car to original can sometimes end up with even more work to make it presentable.

  6. Yes, very glad it's not related to the new electric tech but even so must be a tad embarrassing, something so fundamental as keeping the wheels attached!!
  7. No, it's to do with the wheels coming loose, nothing electric related.
  8. AFAIK it's to do with ping time, the time it takes a sensor to respond determines it's location relative to the ECU. My RC reports the actual tyre pressure for each wheel in a neat little graphic. Also the system would need a reset as the tyre pressures set on each sensor would change? Don't most cars have a different pressure for front and rear axles?
  9. I don't know the answer but doubt there would be a simple way, rather defeating the object. I would strongly suggest if someone does know they don't post it on the open forum! Private messaging you would be the 'secure' method...
  10. "World’s largest carmaker recalls 2,700 battery SUVs with safety issue less than two months after launch" https://www.ft.com/content/aab59edd-2a14-409c-8d31-6d64831f633f
  11. If the tyre shop removes all the wheels in one go and doesn't refit them in the original locations then it would be needed to re-initialise the TPMS
  12. Yes, the ICE will slowly recharge the battery, just as if it were a 'normal' self-charging hybrid
  13. General driving variables are likely to be more of an issue....
  14. You'll end up covering the whole car and getting a cracked windscreen!! Enjoy driving the car and deal with the inevitable when it happens!
  15. Nothing, other than being careful not to damage them. Most tyre shops are well aquatinted with them now. Make sure the tyre pressures are correct and all will be well
