  1. The question has been asked numerous times and no way has been found so far, not even via Techstream.
  2. Only had my RX a couple of weeks but I will stick with the recommended pressures as shown on the driver's door pillar namely 2.3 bar all round

  4. RIP Queen Elizabeth II A life well lived https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-61585886
  5. So had a nice drive to Oxford today and using the nav confirms there are no cameras showing and no alerts given. I will be contacting Lexus to rectify
  6. Sorry Vladimir but there was a post some time back where it was suggested that the thieves had gained access to the car's wiring by removing the wheels arch liner and bypassing the security system to open the car and start it. I just postulated that this is maybe what happened in this case, as the car keys were apparently well protected?
  7. Is this an example of the thieves getting to the car's wiring via removing the front wheel arch liner?
  8. Well, still no connected services... So, I gave Lexus tech support a call (fully expecting a long wait) and was immediately talking with someone who understood and knew how to rectify the situation! Apparently on secondhand purchases Lexus EU need to "force the handshake" to get the car and app connected. He raised a ticket and will be in touch when it's ready for me to confirm T&Cs etc.. I also asked about the hotspot box in the boot and was advised it brought nothing extra to the functionality of the car/nav/Android auto connection and I would be better off just using my mobile phone. He did say I could if I wished to subscribe to a monthly data plan but suggested I'd get better value via my mobile. Nice and honest of him I thought. I'll wait now to hear back, hopefully not too long (I know I can use AA but I like things to work and have my options covered) P.S. I have ordered an AAwireless dongle to protect the USB port on my phone from potential damage due to constant connecting/disconnecting
  9. Beautiful a very striking colour and suits the car well. 😎 👍
  10. Mm.. I'll have to check. It's just I was used to hearing the double beep alert in my RC even with the multimedia off. I know the show cameras option is enabled in the RX, just didn't have the maps showing when driving past my local camera..
  11. Where did you find the audible alerts settings? My speed camera alert isn't working
  12. Try it when not in HV(sic) mode?
  13. Does the appearance of the Eco icon signify the engine has switched from the Otto cycle to using the Atkinson cycle? https://mag.lexus.co.uk/atkinson-cycle-engine-work/
  14. Perhaps not all the apps on the phone are compatible with AA and so aren't shown?
  15. Simulates the sound of an engine with rising and falling revs, adds to the illusion driving a normal car. Love it or loathe it, it's switchable, so make your own judgement
  16. I'd almost guarantee that they are artificial leather. Definitely the case in my RX.
  17. In my first RC it only worked in Sport mode. In my second (face lift) RC it worked in all modes. I quite liked it in Sport mode, added a little to the 'occasion' and went well with the PlayStation like 'gear changes' quite realistic.... My RX doesn't have ASC but it does have a quite gruff V6 😎
  18. The CTEK is a great trickle/maintenance charger. I've used the MSX5 version on my Mercs for many years. The best option would be to buy the direct to battery connection kit and just plug straight on. The cigarette lighter may not be active when the car is off and locked.
  19. I had this when I purchased my second RC. The brochure and online info stated the car came with adaptive headlamps but on collection it became evident what Lexus actually meant was automatic high beam. When pointed out to Lexus CS I was told all their promotional information was published E&OE (Errors and Omission Excluded) and were not contractually binding. They did offer me free car mats and boot liner as compensation (I declined, already had them...)
  20. For me, it's an easy indicator that the car is locked. Can be confirmed from across the car park and at home from my kitchen window. I had the function on my Mercedes and it worked flawlessly for 12yrs (and may still do for all I know!)
  21. Presumably the first dealer meant changing the transmission fluid? As the transmission and differential are one unit it would make sense. The second dealer didn't say they don't change the fluid, just that one cannot change just the differential.
  22. I have posted the email in it's entirety but as it only mentions the RCF and not the RC300h (it is discontinued) I would hazard it's the current model line-up. It would seem the UX is only available with artificial (vinyl) leather?
  23. And render the car inoperable, as it wouldn't be able to start the ICE
