Dealer using customer's car for business use
NemesisUK replied to MadJam250's topic in Lexus General Discussions
Incorporating the test drive, to assess the steering offset? On that note one of the 'clauses' in the T&Cs on the back of the worksheet I mentioned above was the statement that time is not of the essence (or words to that effect) that I took to mean they would take whatever time it took to do the job (properly?) and would not be held to time estimates. (You being late for work was not their fault) -
Does it? Is the eCall control centre (as stated in the handbook) the same as the 999 emergency centre?

Have you tried your local dealership? Whereabouts are you located, what country? If you wish to source one yourself try the below website, using your VIN and search for the part https://www.amayama.com/en/catalogs/lexus/rc300h -
Prices and Specs released

Well the starting prices for each trim level is on the Lexus website under the pre-order window? https://www.lexus.co.uk/new-cars/rz/pre-order -
That's the SOS call button. It's all detailed in your handbook. Basically it will automatically call the eCall centre should an airbag deploy and transmit the vehicle location and details. You can use it manually after opening the cover. In the event of an emergency, press the “SOS” button to call the eCall control center.* The answering operator will determine your vehicle’s location, assess the situation, and dispatch the necessary assistance required.

Dealer using customer's car for business use

Conversely, I have always signed on the dotted line. When the car goes for a service the type of service is noted on the paperwork, along with mileage etc.. If the car goes in for repair/investigation (when my sat nav module failed) the details of the reason for the work is noted, any comments I may have made or requests made are noted. Even last minute requests are then handwritten on the form and I'm asked to sign as I hand over the key. That all said I've just read the T&Cs on the reverse of my copies of previous works and nowhere does it say anything about using the car 'off-site' The only acceptance of responsibility is for damage caused solely by their negligence. -
Well the drive home was as comfortable as the drive down... Tried really hard to keep the speed down and relaxed as others sped past only to be reeled in miles later. The Lexus sat nav was curious in it's interpretation of " fasted route" but the detours were enjoyable 😉 Overall 34 mpg not unexpected and quiet acceptable for the performance and comfort. A very enjoyable drive and happy purchase. A definite "upgrade" on the RC..

2023 UX 250h Power Easy Access System Help

It'll be under the customisation features in your handbook. Don't have one? Download from the Lexus website https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/manuals In my RX I can disable the seat from moving but the fold-away steering wheel has to be disabled by the dealership.- 1 reply

I use this when a hosepipe isn't available or allowed. Just a single bucket of water and a good supply of microfibre clothes. No hassle and leaves a great finish that I sometimes top off with Meg's spray synthetic wax, or even just Meg's Last Touch. https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/meguiars-rinse-free-express-wash

A very nice drive down to The Nare hotel in Cornwall. Overall took 5hrs to do the 220 miles, including a 45min lunch stop. Well, what a car, supremely comfortable (not that the RC was uncomfortable) and very quiet, noticeably quieter than the RC. Definitely more punch than the RC and very easy to, erm, make progress! Trip computer was showing a very acceptable 37mpg, dipping to the low 30's when pushing on. My first RC could only just manage that, the second easily reaching the mid 40's. The ride is very compliant, I had it on the Sport setting and we just glided along, the RC would be a little jittery nothing unpleasant and in keeping with it's sportier character. The car was very stable at speed, indeed it seems even more 'relaxed' at motorway speeds (although we used the A303, I don't like the motorways, too boring and no easy diversions should one need to!) wind and road noise very subdued. Even around the narrow Cornish lanes the car was nibble and easy to direct, the suspension handled sudden changes in direction without undue roll. The door mirrors were brushing the hedgerows on more than one occasion! The climate concierge is another notable step up in comfort, with the system automatically switching on the ventilated seats, keeping one's back and derriere cool and sweat free. How does the system know when to switch them on, no idea but works a treat. Not sure if the temperature sensor needs calibrating or I'm getting old but my usual 20c was feeling chilly so I upped a degree and all was well. The system definitely reacts to sun direction, increasing airflow to the side of the car in the sun. The seats themselves are very supportive and comfortable, very similar in design to the RC. The higher seating position is great and it's almost like sitting in one's favourite armchair, with a good view! All-in-all not a bad first outing, quite looking forward to the drive home.

Had the screen replaced in my RC. Took nearly six weeks to source an OEM screen from Lexus EU. The fitter, a mature chap of very many years experience, said he has only ever fitted OEM screens to Lexus cars. cost to me was also just the £70 excess.

Inner tyre wear problem on a ISF

Increased camber would give increased tyre wear on the inner shoulders. Was that checked? -
Bing bloody Bong

What if you close it momentarily and reopen it to continue vacuuming? IIRC mine only bongs if the door is left open after the Power button is pressed to shut the car down Alternatively just get the dealer to code it off
