  1. Almost certainly there will be updated map data, try the link below https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/multimedia
  2. Are Lexus expensive to repair? Yes but then with routine servicing and generally good care they don't tend to go wrong. Any car can have issues but Lexus tend to have far fewer than other makes but there's no escaping the fact if it breaks it will be expensive! The good news is if one uses Lexus for services one gets a pretty good warranty up to 100k miles or 10yrs old.
  3. Except perhaps in freezing conditions?
  4. Do you have the owner's handbook? If not download from the Lexus website..
  5. Were these Lexus technicians? Have you tried your mechanical key in the boot lock?
  6. The a/c compressor will not function if the ambient temperature is below approx 5c, no matter how one tries to turn it on.
  7. Part of Fish Brothers, a multi-franchise dealer group with all dealerships based in Swindon. They offer Dacia, Honda, Kia, Lexus, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, SEAT, Skoda, Toyota and VW Commercial vehicles. But as Ed notes above the level of service isn't the same cross the marques. I've not personally used the others but compared with the likes of Mercedes, Audi and VW, Lexus Swindon are on a different level. Incredible attention to detail and as a customer I always feel valued and important.
  8. Ditto regarding Lexus Swindon. Two new cars and one secondhand, they did everything without needing to be prompted. Great service every time. Just to add the same level of service extends to routine services and the occasional hiccup (Satnav died on the RC as did the tailgate on the RX)
  9. Bigger wheels and tyres have a higher rolling resistance, increased drag and are heavier.
  10. What does that actually mean, "like for like"?
  11. The face of the spokes is diamond cut and then sealed with clear coat (similar to that on the car's body paintwork). This peeling is a relatively common situation with this type of finish on the wheels Removing it from the wheels will result in corrosion setting in as the metal is unprotected. Your best bet is to get them refurbished and the refrain from using hash chemicals on them when washing. Many car wash stations use very aggressive solutions, which may be why yours have started to peel away.
  12. Random
  13. Thanks for sharing...
  14. Going to smaller diameter wheels, with the correct higher aspect tyres, will be more forgiving over rough road surfaces, with marginally better protection from potholes. The down side could be less positive handling and directional stability but personally, I don't think it would be significant. If looks are not a priority I would always go with the small rims and taller tyres.
  15. Anything in this tech doc of use? Lexus-qrg-en Connected Services.pdf
  16. Have you given permission for the app to give notifications?
  17. Not with Lexus but with Mercedes and it was noted in a workshop bulletin that misted/fogged headlamps were not a warranty job. Do your headlamps clear after a while when switched on? In this damp and cooling weather any moisture will condense but then clear once the lights warm up. It should be noted that headlamps (lights, lamps, bulbs, lenses, ) are specifically mentioned as not covered under the Relax warranty
  18. I had the same in my first RC300h but it didn't bother me enough to have it looked at. My facelift 2019 version didn't have the same issue.
  19. From the owner's handbook From the owner's Navigation manual, it would seem format be it 16 or 32, the limit is still 32GB https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/148575-usb-drive-format/?do=findComment&comment=1363436
  20. You need to use a third party formatting app. Google is your friend I have successfully formatted a 256GB drive for use in my car using Rufus
  21. As Andy above, I find a simple microfibre cloth and glass cleaner (I use Meguiar's) give streak-free finish. With regards to the polish, do you mean polish (as in an abrasive paint correction paste) or a wax (final coating gloss and protectant)? Either way some diluted APC and a soft bristle brush should work, remove it quickly though. Be careful too strong a solution could bleach the trim. There are proprietary products specifically to do this. A quick Google should bring results. Detailers use panel prep wipes. I'd suggest once you have it removed, switching to products that don't leave residues on plastic trim. Meguiar's some good stuff
  22. Is this misting on the inside of the screen? Set it to run twice as long and see how it goes. Make sure there's nothing damp left in the car. Do you use the a/c continuously? This helps to dry the cabin air. I never switch the a/c off, just set to auto and the temp I want and let the car sort it out. Make sure the windscreen glass is really clean, a dirty/film on the inside will mist up more easily
  23. I imagine the estimator will always err on the side of caution, better warn well before fuel needed than the 1 mile after! Regarding the beeps, have you looked through the Customization functions in the handbook there are a number linked with the Smart entry & start system.
  24. How long do you set it for? Perhaps extending the set time would clear more of the screen?
  25. Not so much to my RX but for it... Evicted a very large bumble bee that flew in as I opened the door! It didn't want to leave, can't blame it really 🤣
