I'm surprised there's a rubber button on the door handle of a 2022 model? Isn't there just a touch sensor moulded into the handle? My RX had no issues during the freeze, the easy entry system operated flawlessly, as did my RC previously. Frost, snow and ice had no affect, except the RC's frameless door glass froze to the seal...

Just be aware there are numerous systems that would need re-initialisation when you replace the DC CUT fuse, including the seat ECU, TPMS and the parking assist monitor system.

I think that would be a very prudent purchase

What make of charger do you have? A maintenance charger such as the CTEK can be left connected for the duration without issue

It would be worth a call to Lexus as there may be a repair kit for the adjuster. It may be a 'common' failure (caused by hamfisted adjustments!)

Must admit to having not washed the RX for some considerable time, hosepipe ban now lifted, so quickly jet washed it just using Karcher car shampoo and very impressed! I tend to rinse down the sides with a watering can and plain water after a drive and as long as the splashes haven't dried (certainly not in this weather!) it keeps the sides very clean looking. The car is ceramic coated, certainly helps 👍

After polishing the headlamps did you apply a UV protectant? If not the plastic will quickly go dull again. Fitting newer technology headlamps can bring all sorts of added complications, insurance and MoT compliance. Maybe you could source a pair in better condition from a breakers yard?

You need to define your budget

If their website is to believed then they tune their system to each model. I guess this is done with the vehicle parked and not cruising down the motorway at 70mph. My first RC was standard audio and was very acceptable. My second RC was with ML audio and was immediately obviously much fuller and involving, detail and balance improved as well. My RX has ML audio but I would say it is not as good as in the RC, probably due to the cabin size and restriction on speaker placement, no big central sub in the rear? The RC also has nearly twice the amplifier power, not that power alone makes any improvement No in-car audio is ever going to be as good as a domestic hifi set-up.

Very carefully file a new slot across the head? Perhaps glue a small nut to the head?

Oh and how I tried!! I thought it was like the protective film one gets on new electronic tech these days (my wife used her new phone for weeks before realising that faint blue tint was removable film!) but even the service techs couldn't get at it

Sounds like you have multiple issues with the climate control that will need diagnosis, using Techstream but do you have the a/c switched on? This will dry the cabin air quite efficiently especially if you can use the recirculation function.

Not driving fast enough? They only change after speeds above 40mph. Also they won't change if the system detects street lighting. Also make sure the headlamp switch is in the auto position. The adaptive headlamps function very well on my RX, very few cars flash me and only then when one might expect it anyway e.g. uphill lefthand corners etc..

Would warming the housing help, so make it a bit more pliable?

Incorrect, unfortunately. I've purchased 3 new cars from Lexus since 2016 and they definitely only came with 3yrs manufacturer warranty. Another example of Lexus lazy cut'npaste documentation...

Does the unit have a very small hole one can insert a straightened paperclip to reset it to factory settings, like so many programmable electronic units?
