  1. Passenger side wiper is longer than the driver's side?
  2. Mine beeps even if the sat nav isn't showing/active i.e. screen showing the audio selection. Speed camera alert is always active when phone connected
  3. In my RC one could switch between rain sensing operation or simple variable speed wipers. Your hand book will detail how this works, if applicable to your model. The rotating part will adjust the sensitivity in rain sensing mode and frequency in variable speed mode. Adjusting the sensitivity may not change anything immediately depending on the rainfall rate. Top speed in EV mode will depend on many different things. Battery charge level, battery temperature, acceleration rate and load.
  4. If this is the unit, quite interesting... https://telematics.avmap.it/en/telematics/4dblackbox_immobilizer
  5. Yes
  6. Fogging or slight condensation in the headlamps is fairly common and as long as it dissipates after the lights have been on a while it shouldn't be a problem. If it's quite heavy condensation or you are particularly worried check the back of the headlamps and make sure the access ports are properly closed.
  7. Why? Would the car not move under electric power at this point?
  8. When saying the engine stopped do you mean the car fell out of the Ready state i.e. the petrol engine stopped and the hybrid system stopped? By restarting the car do you mean you put the car back into the Ready state?
  9. Where are you located? Your profile says Non UK, it would be difficult for us in the UK to advise
  10. It's a hybrid so the (petrol) engine will cut in and out as required whilst driving. How fast were you going when it cut out? All the warning indicators could be due to a low charge in the 12v auxiliary battery. When was the car last serviced? Have you had a hybrid health check done recently? The best course of action would be to get the car on TechStream and have the codes read.
  11. That's when it was first registered, not when it was produced (model year) Is there a VIN look-up to test for the upgrade possibility? Where on the website does it show that statement re upgrade-ability? This would worry me. I hope this upgrade wasn't the deal maker?
  12. 3. You are overreacting .... Why wouldn't the dealer upgrade the system if they could? You would be paying for this upgrade, money in their tills. Does the car have a full service history (one can check using the My Lexus app or set up an account on the Lexus website). Did the car get a hybrid health check before sale? The AA/RAC wouldn't be able to tell you much regarding the hybrid side of things. Personally I wouldn't bother. You get 12 months warranty on the car anyway.
  13. They are calling it what it is now, the original terminology meant nothing to the uninitiated. Even if one does skip a dealer service, it is reinstated the nest time one does get it done by a dealership (after any outstanding issues are resolved at the owner's expense)
  14. Could be as simple as a reset of the fuel history. If one reset this after refuelling the mpg plummets until the system records a few miles of driving.
  15. That's because it's an e-CVT, a miracle of transmission design. Very compact with constantly meshed gears driven by both the ICE and electric motors
  16. This Lexus-tech.eu doc gives some detailed info on how the system works. It's for the RX but I imagine it's very similar across the model ranges. Some of the different modes are not available on UK models (I have asked...) LIGHTING SYSTEM CONTROL ADAPTIVE HIGH-BEAM SYSTEM (AHS).pdf
  17. Check fuses? Try a different phone? Try a different cable? On my RC of the same model year both sockets would transfer data and simultaneously charge my Pixel phone.
  18. My Continental ContiCrossContact UHP tyres have a UTQG rating of 420AA so will be interesting to see how well they last
  19. Which sockets specifically are you trying to use and how and for what are you trying to use them? Do you have the car in the Ready state, or in Accessory mode?
  20. I think this has been available on YouTube for many years, I recall it being posted on another forum a good few years back
  21. I believe new cars come with free sat nav updates for 3yrs there after one, as yous say, can purchase database (map) updates as and when they become available, usually twice a year(?) The infotainment system will function perfectly even if one should choose not to update the sat nav database. The only 'downside' being new roads/roundabouts/junctions etc, etc won't be shown. Not usually a massive negative tbh. Personally I would update but maybe only every two years.
