You could use the DAS with a black hexlogic pad to apply the wax (more correctly polishing is using a cutting compound to remove imperfections, waxing is applying the top coat of wax to give gloss and protection) and then place a wool bonnet over the pad to buff to a shine. Expensive way to wax the car? If you're happy applying the wax by hand, most modern waxes are easy on, easy off. Since taking delivery in Oct 16 and covering 2500 miles i have recorded 40mpg overall via the OBC and 37mpg via brim to brim calculation. Not bad agreement and am sure mpg will increase as the weather warms up.

I thought if it was a chain, not a belt, there is no requirement to change it unless it's rattling and showing signs of stretching?

The 12v in the hybrid only has, in normal operation, to power the entry system and start up the various ECUs. Once the hybrid system has started all electrical power is supplied by the traction battery and the 12v battery is recharged via the traction battery. I don't think the 12v is 'undersized' as such. The dual battery system in my CLS55 would only allow the audio system to operate for approx 30mins before shutting down. I guess it's just they way it's designed to operate. I don't believe installing a higher capacity would be make a difference or (just guessing) even advisable. The engine does cut in quite easily, especially during colder weather as the car is trying to maintain cabin temperature. I found (in my limited experience of owning a hybrid since Oct '16) that switching off the Climate system extends the time between engine starts. The down side is it gets cold quickly! That said the same will happen once in ACC mode..

I'd go back to the bomb proof M113 supercharged 5.5 litre engine in the Mercedes E or CLS , preferred the CLS as it doesn't look like a thousand other Merc taxis ....

No way of knowing. Obviously Lexus don't make their own pads but even buying from an OEM one cannot be sure they are made to the same quality or specification as those supplied to Lexus How does the price compare with that from the dealership parts dept?

Try running the engine with the header tank cap removed, see if any air bubbles escape?

With Mercedes the atf is drained and refilled every 36k miles. Flushing would only be needed if the service schedule hadn't been followed before and the atf is older than 36k miles.

Acc mode simply mean the car's electronics (Audio system etc) are running off the 12v battery. Perfectly safe to do so for a short period especially if you don't want the engine cutting in (parked in an enclosed space for example) but clearly one shouldn't use for extended time as the 12v battery will discharge. The car will automatically turn off the Acc mode after ~20min to prevent battery discharging too low.

I have it on my F-Sport and have switched it on a couple of times, just to experience the function (came standard on the model). It might be useful in extreme fog but without any steering assist (as offered by the likes of Audi, where the car will auto-steer to maintain position between the lines) I really can't see it's worth paying for.

Would it be possible or desirable to limit the time posters have for editing their posts? I ask as some seem to edit posts long after others have replied or quoted the post, this can make replies seem irrelevant or quotes appear confusing. In addition to the above, or separately could the edit be time stamped, so others can see when the changes were made? This then would show if the edit was made after the replies posted or quotes taken. Perhaps a 'grace' period of say 1min could be given before time stamping begins to allow the composer to correct typos or grammatical error?

Sounds like the Mercedes version, one can switch it off but it will still try and save you from yourself. Some MBs have a 'Dyno' mode, allowing the car to be tested on a rolling road, does Lexus have something similar?

In the setup menu for the Nav system one can turn off route selection, or set a default. If you don't have a manual for the Nav system you can download a PDF version from the Lexus customer portal
