  1. A rolling start feels less aggressive than starting when stationary. As you say maybe the engine spins briefly before IGN on, they must do something as just driving along the ICE cuts in and out quite frequently.
  2. I've been doing this since getting the car last October, all through the winter and sub-zero temps. I'm hoping as Lexus designers have allowed the car to do it, it must be OK?
  3. Good God! You have some massive seagulls round your way!!!
  4. For those how may be interested ...
  5. OK, you have to filter out the commentary but even so this LC500 sounds very nice1
  6. Pretty much the conclusion the article came to. Not really comparing like with like
  7. "Both cars sport similar power figures, and the LC has two more gears with its 10-speed auto. But the LC weights 246 pounds more than the GS F. And the GS F has wider tires and much larger brakes, interestingly enough. Not to mention better weight distribution and a standard torque vectoring rear differential" https://www.clublexus.com/articles/lexus-lc-500-review-vs-2017-lexus-gs-f-review/
  8. The ECT PWR button remaps the throttle, adding the Sprintbooster adds to the remap. There is no increase in engine power, only in throttle response.
  9. The cream helps But .... The gates are CLOSED!!!!
  10. Maybe a couple of reason but for me, coming from a CLS AMG averaging 18mpg, was the calm serene progress around town. The 40+mpg is nice but Lexus hybrids major on urban motoring, highway or cross country the economy plummets.
  11. Maybe the last IS but not the last Lexus, RC-F is still NA
  12. Michelin Pilot Sports are my fav tyre, can't wait to swap out the Bridgestones currently on my RC. Might be a while though, given the massive (lack) of power from my 'battery' car
  13. ? You on your second half of Guinness ?
  14. That's quite front biased. The AMG was only 245 front 285 rear. Steering not feeling heavier?
  15. You're ok, the ventilated seats dried it out nicely..
  16. Have you checked the auxillary belt tension and it's tensioner?
  17. No sticky finger prints this time, result!!
  18. I think I startled more than one pensioner as I left using stealth mode...
  19. You gotta keep your strength up, Ratty
  20. Did a quick bit of reading from the IS owner's handbook and from other forums and it would appear the ECT PWR button may also sharpen the throttle response, like Sport mode in my car. Still not sure how, once off the throttle it could affect how the car 'strains' against the brakes? That's not to say your observations are questionable, just I'm not seeing the link. Hopefully others more knowledgeable will chip in.
  21. Rather crudely done but gives the effect.. Personally, I wouldn't do it
  22. I thought ECT simply changed the shift points higher? I don't see how this would affect the car's tendency to creep forward?
  23. What a great line-up it truly was. Fine examples of the model, all in stunning condition. Thanks again for the invite to join you all, great venue and a rather good 'full english'.... Nice to meet you all, hopefully I didn't disgrace the gathering too badly with my 'battery' ...
