  1. In the current high temperatures here, I've noticed the car runs much longer on battery power alone than before. I also run the a/c with the S-Flow option enabled but as the handbook says, the system will ignore that setting if cabin temps dictate and as the battery cooling ducts are in the rear of the cabin, it makes sense?
  2. Well Japan (Tokyo) has much higher average temperatures than we do here, so I'd guess Lexus would have designed with that in mind? In the recent 'heat-wave' we've experienced here lately I've felt the car has performed much better as a hybrid than during the winter months.
  3. Well, when using the paddles to limit the gear range down hill the power meter doesn't go into the regen range. I've found using the brakes is much better, totally against what one would do in a 'normal' car! Being a hybrid means one isn't actually using the pads and discs, not until the speed really drops anyway.
  4. Exactly as I found in my RC300h, Sport+ unsettles the car too much, the slightest bump deflects the car. Would be fine on track..
  5. Does one see significantly more battery failure/unreliability in countries with hotter climates, compared say with Northern Europe?
  6. Oh agreed but all dealerships have a charging structure and will quote it when a customer enquires about a job. Whether the final bill reflects that ......
  7. Maybe? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-4pcs-JDM-Fender-Wheel-Arches-Flare-extension-flares-wide-Polyurethane-/112322371555?fits=Car+Make%3ALexus|Model%3AIS+C&hash=item1a26ef5fe3:g:HRsAAOSwXYtYuS~J
  8. Now this just could be my next custom fav, would look great on the RC...
  9. But wouldn't they have incurred costs (labour time) simply by investigating the cause to determine if it's covered under warranty?
  10. Service plans normally 'freeze' the price for each service, so, if during the covered period, the service cost rise, yours won't ..
  11. Similar to this, one of my fav custom finishes..
  12. I'm surprised the Lexus system doesn't know the windows/sunroof are open and moderate the a/c performance automatically? Certainly the case with Mercedes-Benz..
  13. But does it still recharge the battery as efficiently as it does when using the brakes?
  14. Simply Hosing off the dust of recent days .... Just before we had a thunderstorm!
  15. What Navigation system do you have? Premium or standard?
  16. I agree, it really shouldn't be so unreliable. No excuses for launching a buggy, laggy web function. That said Mercedes aren't faring much better with their Mercedes Me connectivity suite..
  17. Do please report back with your impressions!
  18. No different from that offered by Mercedes-Benz. 90% is visual inspection. Can't say I'm horrified, all part and parcel of 'luxury' car ownership..
  19. It's been working fine for me! Admittedly the auto-download in the car has been a little temperamental but it hasn't failed so far... BTW - you say you pay for this service? I'm not!
  20. Usually the 'one-touch' windows and sunroof need resetting
  21. If your key fob is like mine, the mechanical key is 'hidden' in the fob, released by pressing the button on the side of the fob and pulling the tag at the top.
