  1. I'd say that car has been a taxi. Driver's seat really worn and the rear seats are far more worn that the relatively pristine front passenger seat. Walk away ...
  2. I do miss the brutal power of my old supercharged 5.4ltr V8 .... But am loving the silky smooth, relaxed, serene drive of my hybrid. A change as good as a rest and one should celebrate diversity
  3. I just tried some very common terms in both search options with no success at all. Each time 0 results returned. Even when using the suggested terms, nothing..
  4. Having just come from a German marque, I think this is far from the case. My RC is far more customisable, on the fly, by the driver, than anything Mercedes offered. MB put lots of cutting edge tech into their cars but they also dictate how that tech will be used. Lexus, in my limited experience, technology tends to be slightly behind cutting edge but far more configurable and (so far) more stable and reliable.
  5. The permanent connection is simply leads attached to the battery terminals that end in a simple socket that the charge cables from the CTEK plug into. One can have that socket conveniently positioned so making it easy to attach the CTEK without having to access the battery. I'd say the CTEK MXS5 would be fine for the 300h. The CTEK has a very low ripple current, so shouldn't adversely affect vehicle electronics but I would take expert advice from Lexus regarding keeping the battery earth connected whilst charging.
  6. Something about the rear quarters doesn't sit well with the rest of the car..
  7. Is that the Route Trace function? Or are these dots ahead of your position? If ahead I thought they were route guidance points?
  8. I'd be interested in what this means also. A couple of my Memory points have that symbol..
  9. I've only ever used a 'smart' charger on my Mercedes, the CTEK MXS5. I had a permanent quick connection installed (MB use the same chargers and supply the connection kit) and always charged with the battery installed and connected. The CTEK automatically tests the battery and varies the charge rate as needed. I often left the charger connected for 3-4 days or just overnight if I needed the car. Battery showed fully charged according to the display on the CTEK.
  10. From my handbook "Before recharging When recharging, the 12-volt battery produces hydrogen gas which is flammable and explosive. Therefore, observe the following precautions before recharging: ● If recharging with the 12-volt battery installed on the vehicle, be sure to disconnect the ground cable. ● Make sure the power switch on the charger is off when connecting and disconnecting the charger cables to the 12-volt battery." Have to ask, why do you need to recharge the battery, how has it become discharged?
  11. Is there a small lever on the inside edge of the door? Visible when the door is open
  12. First question is, do you have key replacement cover as part of any house or breakdown cover?
  13. The Lexus configurator gives the red leather in the RC-F as "Red Leather" LA31 and in the RC F-Sport as "Dark Rose" LC33.
  14. SRP does a good job at masking swirls with it's fillers but doesn't really last that well without being covered with a good wax. Yes Collinite 915 is a wax, lasts very well.
  15. Looks fantastic, well done! Not a fan of Autoglym's SRP. Are you polishing to remove swirls? Personally I'd use Meg's Ultimate polish and then seal the surface with Carlack'69 before applying a wax, Collinite 915 is my favourite. That all said your car looks very good, so perhaps it's just personal preferences. Except the sealant
  16. A little taster.. the relevant bit starts at about 1:40
  17. Back button works fine for me. Using Win10 and Chrome browser and Android mobile. Try logging out, clearing cookies and browser history and log back in.
  18. Have you checked the power steering fluid level and belt tension?
  19. True. I do wonder why Lexus don't offer this option in the UK though
  20. Any option could be retro-fitted but at what cost? That said I can't imagine the heated 'wheel would be that difficult, if it was offered as an option on your model year. New 'wheel, switch, wiring and probably steering column contact spiral. Plus coding the system
