  1. The LCCN reference returns the ISBN 0971793573
  2. Looks interesting, do you have the ISBN?
  3. It's all relative of course but the supercharger in my AMG ran very warm. Intercooler pump failure quite common and resulted in the ECU disengaging the 'charger. But I agree with the above, supercharging is the better way to go. Instant, low down torque and no lag. Far more reliable than a turbo
  4. Took early retirement at 54, (7yrs ago) from pharmaceutical research, developing novel dosage forms, delivery system and sterile production machinery. Now spend a few hours a week at B&Q advising on flooring projects and humping pallet loads of tiles/laminate!! Basically get paid to workout
  5. If it disengages every time if you apply the foot brake, I'd suspect a faulty stalk
  6. Lexus told me I couldn't run 17" wheels on my RC300h but the handbook and B pillar sticker clearly shows 17" as an option. I think there's a reluctance to commit to anything other than order options.
  7. Really? In my RC300h the fans definitely blow the air out of the seat. There is a fan in the seat base and another in the seat back. Both draw air from the cabin and blow it through the channels in the seat cushions. The air then diffuses through the foam and exits via the perforations in the leather covers. If they simply drew the air through it wouldn't ventilate the areas occluded by the sitter's back and thighs. Exactly the areas most needed. So it's curious that from 2017-11 Lexus saw fit to reverse the air flow in the seat back, drawing air through the seat face and exiting via the climate fan in the seat back! The seat base air flow remains as for pre- 2017-11 models...
  8. Strange isn't it? Years past only the chauffeur would sit on the hard wearing, easy clean leather, the luxurious velvet/plush seats reserved for the rear seat passengers.
  9. The options listed in the handbook shows the smallest wheel/tyre combo is 225/50R17 94W on 17 x 7 1/2J
  10. On other cars I've owned, multiple flashes on unlocking meant the alarm had gone off (and had reset) at some point during the locked period.
  11. I'm wearing that chip as a badge of honour 😏 It seems to be warding off any further damage, so far anyway.... If one's car has the more standard metallic finishes it would be cheaper to repair and be far less noticeable once touched in.
  12. That's an awful lot of coats sprayed there. I wonder what the cost is to prep and spray a car front? Compared with PastiDip?
  13. It'll keep driving normally until you switch off, then obviously it won't restart.
  14. The handbook states you have Bi-xenon headlamps, so a single bulb provides both high and low beam, with the metal shutter in place, low beam. What it doesn't show is any other headlamp type, so would guess you have only the one headlamp bulb, very unusual these days.. Unless there is a light emitter within that grooved area to the inside of the projector headlamp. Have you ever looked at the units when they are on? With dipped only and then with main + dipped?
  15. See thread below, I didn't get it treated and some far, haven't collected anymore.
  16. I'm guessing you have xenon headlamps? In which case there will be a little metal shield that drops across the lamp to give the dipped beam cutoff. A picture of the light fitting might help?
  17. I have Clove leather interior and I use the kit supplied by Lexus to clean it, whenever it starts to look a little grubby. Being a light cream/sand colour it doesn't take much getting in and out with denim on to give the bolsters a slight blue tinge. The cleaner in the kit removes every trace very easily and the conditioner leaves the seats soft and as they left the factory. I'm pretty sure the solution in the kit is simply a gentle 'woolite' type detergent. Smells similar. Not sure what the conditioner is but it's very thin and applied using what I would call a paint pad! A soft cloth is used to buff off the conditioner after a couple of minutes.
  18. I'd likely drag myself along to this, even though I drive a lowly F-Sport and battery version at that!! To compound my sins, I'll admit to not really liking the LFA, except for the glorious exhaust song, the rest doesn't grab me. Now, the LC, that's a different kettle of fish
  19. I use the Executive Leather care kit that came with the car (Lexus sell separately also). Very quick and simple, leaves the seats as factory, easily removes dye transfer and general grim, all very noticeable on my Clove leather! Thankfully I use easy-on seat covers for when I'm in work/scruffy clothes, certainly saves a lot of cleaning...
  20. On the Premium system in my 2016 RC there is a separate fan default speed one can set (slow/med/fast) that the Auto mode uses. Mine's set at med, that said the system still ramps it up to fast when demisting but generally it's relatively gentle/quiet.
  21. Sounds normal. Hot air rises, so would be pumped in low level to heat from floor up. Unless one selects Demist then directed at screen and side windows. Cold air more beneficial directed at face level and will sink to cool cabin.
  22. Best of luck with this. I seem to recall a long saga a while back when someone else had issues with the amplifier/audio head unit. These are horrendously expensive and, IIRC, the dealership tried 'borrowing' a unit from another car in stock. I'd imagine a new one would take a while to become available?
  23. Could it be the stalk switches are at fault?
  24. Agreed There must be some reason not to include that and the TPWS reset in the cluster menu? Surely easier to enable an option in the coding rather than have to add wiring and buttons?
