  1. I use the Executive Leather care kit that came with the car (Lexus sell separately also). Very quick and simple, leaves the seats as factory, easily removes dye transfer and general grim, all very noticeable on my Clove leather! Thankfully I use easy-on seat covers for when I'm in work/scruffy clothes, certainly saves a lot of cleaning...
  2. On the Premium system in my 2016 RC there is a separate fan default speed one can set (slow/med/fast) that the Auto mode uses. Mine's set at med, that said the system still ramps it up to fast when demisting but generally it's relatively gentle/quiet.
  3. Sounds normal. Hot air rises, so would be pumped in low level to heat from floor up. Unless one selects Demist then directed at screen and side windows. Cold air more beneficial directed at face level and will sink to cool cabin.
  4. Best of luck with this. I seem to recall a long saga a while back when someone else had issues with the amplifier/audio head unit. These are horrendously expensive and, IIRC, the dealership tried 'borrowing' a unit from another car in stock. I'd imagine a new one would take a while to become available?
  5. Could it be the stalk switches are at fault?
  6. Agreed There must be some reason not to include that and the TPWS reset in the cluster menu? Surely easier to enable an option in the coding rather than have to add wiring and buttons?
  7. Like the tyre pressure warning reset button, not something one needs to access frequently, so keeps the dash/cluster area clean a clear..
  8. Don't think one can get the Clove leather in the red 'F'?
  9. Congratulations, great car You going to retire now in the hope of having the time to keep it clean??
  10. Check the supply pipe in the hatch hinge area
  11. Might be interesting? For the IS but may be adaptable? http://oemaudioplus.com/lexus/3is/
  12. Is any car correct for a 2 mile commute?
  13. Sounds like there's a problem with the headlamp unit itself, possibly the ballast and /or igniter. Might possibly be a deteriorating earth connection, check connectors and chassis earth leads.
  14. I've always rated Osram Nightbreakers https://www.osram.com/am/am_com_ledriving_campaign_4.jsp
  15. No handbook? Download from the Lexus Portal https://www.lexus.co.uk/#/publish/login
  16. The engine in my RC300h warms up very quickly, easily within a mile but I'd imagine it's going to tale a fair bit longer to get the exhaust system hot enough to drive out all the condensate. So it's possible you might promote early corrosion within the exhaust system. You won't flatten the traction (hybrid) battery. I'd say the hybrid is the car least likely to suffer significant detriment from frequent short journeys but it will certainly benefit from a good long run at weekends.
  17. For the IS but may be of interest? http://oemaudioplus.com/lexus/3is/
  18. I'd imagine the 'best' coil springs would be those originally fitted from the factory. Have you tried Lexus parts dept for availability and price?
  19. Being a hybrid you would be well advised to get the car checked by Lexus before purchase
  20. Service intervals and costs are on the Lexus website. You need to research the car's service history.
  21. Mileage is nothing to worry about, on a properly maintained car. Do you know the service history of this car?
  22. Not in my experience with the RC300h. Watching the rev counter shows the engine revs behaving as one would expect each time the paddles are used. One must have the eCVT in S mode though, otherwise it will continue to operate automatically but restrict the 'gears' to the one selected and below.
