  1. Could it be wet/damp getting into the connections on the rear of the sensors?
  2. May be correct but on my C class (I retrofitted OEM xenons) there was standard adjustment to set the zero point for the auto-adjustment.
  3. I commented on the number of GS-F on my dealer's forecourt, only to be told they're being discontinued and we've got some to sell ...
  4. Massive improvement, well done Steve. Really appreciate all the effort and time you put in on keeping things purring along Thank you!
  5. Well, Friday night something drastic happened inside my watch! It started to sound like a grandfather clock ticking and when tilted made an awful rattle... Took it in to dealers Saturday morning to be sent off for repair, under warranty thankfully. Guess I'll have a naked wrist for the next couple of months The young lady did say they do use a UK based workshop, so my previous comment was incorrect, thinking they still used Switzerland.
  6. The AVS on my RC is very good, better by far than the AIRmatic on my AMG. Only when drive mode is on Sport+ does the suspension get too firm for driving on our public roads. Otherwise handling is a good compromise between comfort and chuck-ability with the AVS constantly adjusting shock rate depending on road conditions and driver inputs. In Sport+ mode the system seems set at max firmness 100% of the time, too much on normal roads and it unsettles the car in corners.
  7. Mine was perfect up until it's first (complimentary) service after which it started loosing 2-3mins a week. It got sent back to Switzerland for re-calibration and pressure testing. It came back 3months later running perfectly again. It's had 4 services since then, each time going back to Switzerland and taking approx 3 months. Each time it looked incredible and ran spot on. The last one was completed just recently but now the watch is loosing time again, almost 2min a day! Guess I'll be sending it off again....
  8. It's amazing what they can do to make my watch appear brand new each time. The 10-12 weeks turnaround is quite 'painful' my wrist feels very naked! (Stock photo) I still have the original bakelite box and all the paperwork for it. A dealer offered me £300 just for the box!
  9. My Breitling SuperOcean Professional, I've worn it everyday since purchasing it back in 2003. Costs more to service than my AMG did! Mind you, Mercedes don't completely dismantle, clean and re-calibrate their product at each service.
  10. If that's what d:class say then I'd go with them replacing the panel.
  11. In my lowly RC300h F-Sport the ASC only operates when in Sport or Sport+ modes. In Normal or (heaven forbid) ECO modes there is total silence.
  12. Does the low (dipped) beam not remain on with the high (main) beam?
  13. Slightly bigger version Point being, there is no reason not to carry your dogs in the GS!
  14. Not a GS but I carry a Labrador in the back of my RC, no problems. I use a hammock style seat cover with a couple of blankets underneath to protect the leather.
  15. It's the dark area to the left of the smaller map, separating the two displays that is thought by the OP to be a fault.....
  16. OMG!!!! You just posted that up on a public forum????
  17. My recommendation would be, don't do it! Do you know how you managed to damage the leather? I would be seeking out a trimmer to replace the leather. These guys come highly recommended http://royalsteeringwheels.com/
  18. As above, I see that a a way of separating (or defining the edge of) the two displays?
  19. Agree 100%. My comment was meant to be sarcastic. The provision of parent and child bays is as much to the benefit of other motorists in that there is a slightly reduced chance of door dings as parent wrestle with their little charges. IMHO these bays should be resigned the the far perimeters of the car park. The placement of blue badge bays close to the entrance/exits is completely logical
  20. An interesting read ... https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?44553-Disabled-Bays-in-retail-parks-Are-they-legally-enforceable
  21. Probably to reduce the chance of the "little darlings" running into the path of a car looking for a parking space...
  22. I think 2008 is the furthest back they go on the portal
