  3. Another interesting read - https://www.gov.uk/government/news/funding-for-thousands-of-electric-car-charge-points-unused-by-councils Only 5 councils have taken advantage of the government's grant for installing public charge points. "Millions of homes in the UK do not have off-street parking, so this funding is important to help local councils ensure that all their residents can take advantage of this revolution."

  5. I think that is either/or not in combination. You start doing 4.5 sec launches your range will plummet I saw three Tesla model S on various motorways on our way back from Gatwick, each time pootling along at a steady 55-60 mph in lane one.

  9. Government logic of vehicle weights definition .. "Vehicle weights explained Vehicle categories on driving licences can depend on the weight of the vehicle - the different terms you might see are explained below. Unladen weight The unladen weight of any vehicle is the weight of the vehicle when it’s not carrying any passengers, goods or other items. It includes the body and all parts normally used with the vehicle or trailer when it’s used on a road. It doesn’t include the weight of: fuel batteries in an electric vehicle - unless it’s a mobility scooter or powered wheelchair" https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-weights-explained Just an example on how confusing it is to compare vehicle weights, manufacturers generally only quote the vehicle base weight, that is the weight of the base model without options fitted.

  12. I don't speak Welsh either but a quick Google translate shows cwm to mean valley, corrie, combe or glen.
  13. The important measurement is pressure, not temperature but as the pressure changes with temperature the only way to correctly measure the pressure of air in the tyre that air must be at the same temperature as the atmosphere surrounding it. So, it doesn't matter what the ambient temperature is, just so long as the air in the tyre is at the same temperature. Manufacturers factor in the the heat generated (above ambient) in the tyre by the amount of sidewall movement allowed by the inflation pressure.
  14. By this do you mean the paint is of different quality but labelled the same? I know the trade versions of Dulux paints are very different from the 'standard' DIY versions but they are also labelled differently and cost significantly more, even from the likes of B&Q. It's very misleading to base judgements of quality on the price charged, as the likes of B&Q have massive purchasing power and also often sell at 'special' prices to drive sales.
  15. Definitely.. I've had more interest in this car than any other I've owned. Or perhaps more correctly, more compliments on it's appearance. My HSR drew a lot of interest, not always complimentary ....
  16. That's why he's a builder, or is it because he's a builder?

  20. Pretty sure, with just the map displayed and connected services enabled, it will show you hold ups etc... Make sure you have "Show Traffic Info" set on.
