  1. Your handbook suggests The suggested leather cleaner (also from the handbook) is simply a diluted water solution of approximately 5% neutral wool detergent, followed by a well wrung out cloth to remove all traces of the detergent.
  2. Both my RC and now my RX has a warning in the multi-information display when the tank is nearly empty, as did my Mercedes. Check your handbook, from the 2020 NX handbook
  3. Check the info plate on the B pillar to see if it is type approved for towing
  4. The time is set by GPS, to change from BST to GMT go to the settings menu and deselect the option
  5. Check the Customisation options in the handbook regarding locking/unlocking
  6. Turn off the Parking sensors?
  7. I would try a different dealer or a BMW independent?
  8. Can one not disable the function temporarily? It's only an aide, not safety critical
  9. And remember, it's a limit not a target...
  10. To be fair I have to stop for fuel in my hybrid. Not as often as I did in my AMG but still needed fuel It's just a case of a bit extra planning to use EV charge points. A change in mindset..
  11. Glad it worked ok 👍 I think you need to download the full version of the handbook from Lexus.uk, new cars are only being shipped with a "Quick Start" guide. Which to my mind should cover this sort of thing!
  12. From the 2024 handbook, page 487, hopefully the same for your model year..
  13. In the UK one can use the VIN to pinpoint the correct version of the owner's handbook and multimedia manual when downloading from Lexus.uk website. Maybe the same where you are?
  14. Do Lexus cover what? The warranty doesn't cover accident damage f) Damage or defects as a result of defects resulting from an external cause and/or natural phenomenon (e.g. water or dust ingress, stone chipping, flooding, icing, storm, natural disasters, accident, fire, explosions, war, civil unrest, sovereign action, willful or malicious action, unauthorized use, salt, glass erosion and scratches, soiling);
  15. The charge is for the insurance, not the courtesy car. That said I've never had to pay for insurance on a courtesy car from Lexus
  16. Brake fluid is hygroscopic so needs changing on a time basis, not mileage. Generally done every two years. Any competent mechanic can do it, unless the car is a hybrid when I would only trust a Lexus dealer do it. Probably needs TechStream to fully flush the system
  17. Not the only difference, they differ in their electrical characteristics. the D4 is the Mercury(Hg)-free version of the D2. it's electrical characteristics are slightly different than the D2 (higher inrush current, longer time to get to steady state, etc.), and it does require a ballast designed specifically for it.
  18. All keys now use a rolling code that changes every time it's used. What you might want to do, to prevent this type of theft, is to place the key fobs in a faraday box/pouch to block the RF. One can also disable the easy entry via the onboard menus or by pressing the unlock button twice while holding down the lock button. The fob should flash the red led a couple ot times. Next time you use the fob you will have to press any button to 'wake' it up again.
  19. Last card I received was back in 2021, still have it in my wallet
  20. No cards anymore... Easily contacted via the Lexus Link app.
  21. You can charge the 12v battery by putting the car into the Ready state and leave it in Park. The traction battery will charge the 12v battery and the petrol engine will stop and start as required to maintain charge in the traction battery. You don't have to drive and Lexus recommend approx 30 min. See attached Maintenance of hybrid battery.pdf
  22. Page 471 (not my handbook, just what I downloaded from Lexus UK)
  23. One doesn't use the mechanical key to open the case, see below from the handbook, the cover slides off
  24. The only reference to Battery Low I could find in the handbook was with respect to the key fob battery and that clearly states key battery.
  25. Page 732 Always leave the car in the Ready state when sitting listening to radio/music.! Not doing so will deplete the 12v battery very quickly.
