  1. Service history seems to have disappeared from the web portal I use the phone app, quicker and easier and it has all my service history listed, in quite some detail..
  2. I have the 5 layer sonic red on my RC and acquired a stone chip on the bonnet after only a few weeks. My dealership said they could smart repair but it will stand out like a sore thumb. They also quoted over £1k to do an invisible repair, basically respray the bonnet. Regarding the ceramic coating from Lexus, mine is holding up very well and 12k miles later still gleams and sheds water like new. The car is not garaged and driven most day.
  3. From the owner's handbook... (2011 p249) "Lexus does not recommend towing a trailer with your vehicle. Lexus also does not recommend the installation of a tow hitch or the use of a tow hitch carrier for a wheelchair, scooter, bicycle, etc. Your Lexus is not designed for trailer towing or for the use of tow hitch mounted carriers."
  4. Just for completeness you could try resetting the operation? Open fully, hold the button for 5sec. Then close fully and hold the button for 5sec. I wouldn't use WD40, it displaces water, not a good lubricant and the residuals might adversely affect the seals. I would try Gummi-Pflege
  5. Something is tripping the anti-pinch function. Does this also happen when the widow is wet? Could be a slight tight point in the side seals?
  6. If Lexus are anything like Mercedes the mileage will be stored in more than one location, to help fraud prevention. If only one location is corrected it will either freeze the odometer or only display dashes. I think you need to get the codes read using Techstream. The same diagnostic system should be able to reset/correct the mileage after referencing secondary recording locations.
  7. Sounds very strong down the straight but seems to have trouble using/getting the power down in the twisty bits?
  8. Ventilated seats in my RC work very well. The seat base especially, can induce cramp if left on the max setting too long. Must say though the seat back ventilation is less effective, very dependent on how one sits in the seat.
  9. Any company that facilitates such a modification would have to get you to accept it's "not for road use" as any tampering with emissions control renders the vehicle unroadworthy and would fail the next MoT
  10. I'm sure it's just higher than town speed in reality, otherwise one would be blowing regen ash all over pedestrians and motorists.
  11. Surely the regen cycle won't start if the speeds are below ~70mph? If you are getting huge amounts of smoke whilst sat in traffic that's a different problem perhaps?
  12. It's a real shame Lexus don't do the Clove interior with the Sonic red on either the LC or the RC-F a curious decision...
  13. Keep driving ....
  14. Exactly the same situation with Mercedes, cameras must be realigned and calibrated if the screen is replaced.
  15. @Big Rat Nice one, Paul. 😎 I'm quite a fan of the darker finish on wheels. Certainly find mine hides the dust very well but they also very easy to keep clean. Get yourself some Wheel Woolies 👍
  16. Do Lexus actually fit the screen themselves? Or do they farm it out to the likes of Autoglass?
  17. Just curious really as Autoglass can use genuine Lexus glass, wondered what the difference might be in sourcing and fitting costs.
  18. What would the likes of Autoglass charge?
  19. I would have thought upping the wheel size will reduce roll as there is that little bit less tyre sidewall to flex.
  20. I bought a couple of these, from the States, mainly to protect my Clove leather from my black work clothes but works well at keeping the leather cool. The seat ventilation works really well even with them left on the seats. https://www.amazon.com/Seat-Armour-Protector-Towel-SA100LXST/dp/B07BFR77YS/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1530802325&sr=8-5&keywords=lexus+towel+seat+covers
  21. I've always used this, never had an issue.
  22. Love the colour, the rest is a little extreme for my tastes..
  23. 32-bit apps should run without issue on a 64-bit OS as Windows will run a 32-bit emulator, the app doesn't know any different. Worth a try, it's free!
  24. Or you could download from the official Toyota-Tech website. No CD required https://www.toyota-tech.eu/GTS/Wizard/Step5-Software.aspx Or is this not the same thing?
