  1. Water can still enter the inlet manifold and be ingested next time the ICE fired up. Especially when that white van comes towards you creating a huge bow wave that washes over the bonnet
  2. I'd add Darkness on the Edge of Town and Wreck on the Highway... Or pretty much anything by The Boss
  3. Liking the blue edging to the F badge.. 😉
  4. You missed a 1 of the front of the mileage... Driver was on a break and had removed the taxi plate. 🤡
  5. Indeed correct.... That said my Sonic Red is the same but Lexus do offer a touch-up kit.
  6. I wonder if the dealerships withdraw and move on to another to keep the offerings "fresh"?
  7. Must admit to the understanding the value would be the same as when purchased?
  8. All I've found is this ... Exchange Policy Subject to the following terms and conditions, any vehicle purchased from a Lexus Centre ('the Centre') with Lexus Pre-Owned status ('the Vehicle') may be exchanged for another vehicle ('the Replacement Vehicle') at the same Centre, providing that: the Centre is satisfied that the Customer is a private purchaser (and not a trade purchaser or otherwise). the Centre is satisfied that, with the exception of fair wear and tear, the Vehicle is in the same condition as at the time of delivery to the Customer. the Vehicle is returned to the supplying Centre within 30 days of the delivery date. the Vehicle has covered no more than 1,000 miles since delivery to the Customer. the Centre is satisfied that the Customer owns the Vehicle and is fully entitled to exchange it under the Agreement. The Customer may choose any vehicle as the replacement vehicle, provided that: it is readily available at the same Centre, and it is of an equal or higher value than the original invoice price of the Vehicle. Before any exchange is effected under the Agreement, the Customer shall be responsible for making all the necessary arrangements relating to terminating, transferring, or taking out or otherwise dealing with the financing arrangements for the purchase of the original Vehicle and the Replacement Vehicle. Any exchange shall be subject to the Centre being satisfied with such arrangements. In particular if the original Vehicle is subject to a Hire Purchase Agreement, a new agreement must be completed and the relevant deposits paid by the Customer. Where the Customer has chosen a Replacement Vehicle with a higher price, the price difference must be paid to the Centre before the exchange takes place. The Customer will be responsible for any additional costs resulting from the exchange such as transferring insurance or personalised number plates. This Agreement only applies to the Vehicle purchased. Only one exchange will be considered and this Agreement shall not apply to any Replacement Vehicle. This Agreement does not affect any of the Customer's statutory rights. https://www.johnsonscars.co.uk/lexus/used-offers/approved-used-programme/
  9. Pros, stiffer, better steering response, better control of suspension angles Cons, stiffer, more noise and vibration transferred to cabin. Are you planning to track the car, or just normal road use? If the latter, I'd stick with stock bushes
  10. Dash display will dim as the ambient light level drops. All the electrical power will be delivered from the traction battery, once in the Ready state. The 12v only supplies power in accessory mode or to the easy access system and start-up computers until the hybrid system is running.
  11. I'd have thought it would take a bit further than 50mls for the engine ecu to adapt to the new fuel. I certain found the Shell V-Power made a difference to my AMG and I have run nothing but V-Power in my RC from new.
  12. Sorry, hard to orientate with the closeup photos. But there wasn't any signs of residue on or around the 12v battery?
  13. I still can't see how acid from the 12v battery could get all the way over to that side, without causing damage elsewhere?
  14. No mine's a 2016 RC. The option is detailed in the separate NAV handbook
  15. You should be able to download a manual from the My Lexus online portal? My NAV handbook details how to backup and restore memory points.
  16. Sorry, just to be clear in my understanding. When you say 'vent' do you mean vapours from the traction battery exit there? My understanding is that the traction battery is sealed wrt the electrolyte. That vent in the picture is where the cooling fan (for the traction battery) draws cooling air from the the cabin, to regulate the traction battery temps. According to Lexus tech docs there is no free fluid in the traction battery. The electrolyte is absorbed into the cell plates. Even in a collision that splits the battery module, no liquid will leak.
  17. I didn't know the traction battery vented there. I thought it was only the battery cooling fan air inlet? Also the traction battery is caustic, not acidic.
  18. Yup, checked mine also. Nothing untoward ... As Rabbers says can you think of anything carried that may have leaked? Even something you believe quite innocuous?
  19. Is there any chance some one may have carried a spare battery in the boot? Or, perhaps something like drain clear liquid?
  20. Premium Nav system in my 2016 RC allows one to backup memory points to a USB. Retrograde step if one cannot do so in the LC, surely?
  21. @Big Rat Plenty of room on the couch, popcorn welcomed, prefer sweet to salted 😉
