  1. I'm not after anything 🙂 Just interested in other people's opinions on what defines premium. Been an interesting debate 👍
  2. DRLs should be on even in park, thought they were on as soon as the car is Ready/IGN on. Pretty sure mine are. In the second video, the front indicators are less visible than those in the first video. I was under the impression that the DRLs should go off when indicators were on? EU regulations?
  3. I think one can forget the electronic gizmos. Two a penny these days. Comfort, quiet and luxuriously appointed cabin is a must. As is effortless progress.
  4. Yes they are much better than the Audi version. The rears do end in a traditional type indicator. I'm not seeing how the DRLs are remaining on though?
  5. Is this with a hybrid? I'd say that's exactly what hybrids are good for, short journeys. But not a normal ICE model, short trips never give the alternator chance to recharge the battery.
  6. I'm being torn between a premium car being one with heritage and one that offers something over and above the norm. Premium these days must be something over and above the norm?
  7. I doubt warranty would cover it unless proven to be due to a battery drain fault. Would need to go on diagnostic to check. 6 miles a day just isn't enough miles to recharge the battery. Try putting it on a maintenance charger overnight, CTEK come highly recommended. Either that or go to a good long drive at the weekends.
  8. Lexus got it right from the factory with the LC exhaust 👍
  9. You'll find the ID number from one of the setup screens on the actual bag system itself. Does it not detail how to find this in your handbook?
  10. Followed an Audi home this pm, the indicators all but disappeared when the brake lights illuminated. Far too thin and were swamped by the twin brake light led strings... Sweeping didn't improve the visibility. I hope the ones on the RX are more obvious in all conditions.
  11. Does the new RX model have sequential/sweeping indicator LEDs? Just seen the latest RX advert and thought I saw the front indicators 'sweep' on unlocking?
  12. When parked up listening to the radio etc. leave the car in Ready mode, if you force EV mode by pressing the EV button you are telling the car not to start the ICE. It will, as you found out, automatically cancel EV mode on traction battery voltage.
  13. I loved the exhausts Meisterschaft did for the AMGs, sounded epic. Looking forward to hearing the RC-F version..
  14. Just exploring possibilities. My routine drive from home involves going uphill between high walls each side of the road. In this hot weather, with windows down to dissipate the stored cabin hot air, I have heard lots of noises. High pitched whine, squeaks and buzzing! Follow John's suggestion and see if you can hear anything.
  15. The car is a hybrid, worth noting the brakes do tend to squeak or groan on application/release at low speeds as they are not used routinely at speed as most retardation is via the regenerative braking function. Lexus really should engineer this out as it detracts somewhat from the otherwise serene progress
  16. An interesting thought on how to define 'luxury' "Is it that there is no reasonably priced alternative available? You can buy a Seiko watch for £25,000 but also one for £250. You can have a Hublot watch for £25,000 but not £250. Does that make one a luxury brand and not the other? Similarly, you can spend £200,000 on a new Mercedes and also £30,000, but there’s no new Bentley for the latter price. I’d dare say most people have no idea which £25,000 watch or £200,000 car is the better built or which involves more craftsmanship, but they will know which feels like luxury and which does not." https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/what-differentiates-luxury-car-one-merely-premium
  17. Just three days ago my dealership quoted £650 plus £30 labour to update the maps in my RC. I bought the update microSD online for £200 and did it myself in 5min. From Toyota EU... Still expensive but in line with my experience with Mercedes.
  18. Get the diagnosis done, otherwise you're just guessing. From whom did you buy the car? Does it have warranty?
  19. One can cancel the light by increasing the tyre pressure to above the set pressure. Each time one 'cancels' the warning by using the button one initialises the the system and the current tyre pressures are used as the new benchmark, whether they are correct or not.
