  1. Correct but unless you're in accessory mode (not recommended for any length of time) the 12v battery is constantly recharged via the traction battery, unlike in non-hybrid cars, where one relies on the alternator to recharge the battery, which it only does after supplying any running demand. So running accessories on non-hybrid car can result in depleting the battery charge quite quickly. Something hybrid cars wont suffer from.
  2. I just use the USB charger to keep the phone topped up whilst connected via Bluetooth to the Navy system, giving me live traffic updates. The phone sits in the armrest cubby out of sight.
  3. In my RC I charge the phone from the USB port under the centre armrest.
  4. And very effective they are too! Great knowing that one can't discharge the 12v battery with these functions as they are all powered from the hybrid (traction) battery. 😁
  5. There is s ridge running front to back but it does nothing the channel the water. The small amount that does follow the groove ends up dripping in at the open door hinge area... @Comedian, yes water cascades into the open boot from the top lip of the lid and especially from the top corners! Good job it doesn't rain much in this country .... 🙄
  6. Press the rear demist button on the climate control panel. The door mirror heaters come and go off, with the rear screen heater. Took me a while to figure out as the door mirror heaters were automatic on my Mercedes.
  7. In this rainy weather, or even just a very wet car, I find it impossible to open the door and entering and not get drenched with water running off the roof! Even opening the window results in the interior arm rest (and my arm!) getting wet... Mrs Nemesis was not impressed as she had her second impromptu shower today! 😂
  8. Guessing this could be a security feature, especially if yours has the 'kick to open' function. Anyone could open the hatch when you're stopped at lights etc..
  9. Also double check it's not just condensate dripping from the a/c drain.
  10. I too find this feature very useful on my RC300h. I check the readings every trip and find it quite interesting how the pressures rise during the drive. Can be significantly different side to side and front to back, depending on how twisty the route is and how enthusiastically driven 😁
  11. But in the description it says.. "Color: Aluminum Finish with ± F-Sport Blue" The paddles in my RC F-Sport have black markings
  12. Just Googled the LC version, yes much nicer, longer and elegantly curved. They extend below the wheel as well. Not sure they would suit the more angular interior of the RC though?
  13. No idea about the LC version but how about these? Any better? https://lexusboutique.net/products/genuine-lexus-japan-2015-2017-aluminium-shift-paddle-set
  14. Direct from the traction battery via MG1 The 12v battery only energises the easy access systems and computers until the hybrid system is Ready.
  15. Looking at Britprius thread, it does appear there should be a cover but the potting looks similar?
  16. Measurable in laboratory testing but is it really significant in everyday driving, with all the inherent uncontrollable variants that come with it?
  17. Looks like it's been sealed with a clear potting compound?
  18. Agree totally The point I was trying to make is in the AMG the engine produced more power and more smoothly. No interest in mpg. In the RC again I've no interest in mpg and still believe the additional cleaning additives are beneficial, well certainly not detrimental but as I've never used anything but V-Power from mile 0 I cannot really compare performance. I believe the engine does adjust settings depending on fuel quality though.
  19. Would you be able to enlighten the ignorant (me!) as to how to display such information?
  20. In the text input box, bottom right there is an orange "other media" button. To the bottom left is a "drag files here" to attach or choose files link. This is good for uploading from one's pc. If one wishes to attach images from the web, simply copy the image address by right clicking the image, then just paste the address into the text input box
  21. I use Meg's X-press spray wax. Drives water off and leaves a wonderfully slick, glossy finish.
  22. I'm sure there's nothing 'wrong' with it per se just that it will have fewer or cheaper additives?
  23. Agree 100% so I wouldn't worry about the hybrid battery 😉
