  1. I used these guys, bought a MicroSD card, much, much cheaper than the dealer quote. Genuine Toyota/Lexus outlet. See if they offer a way for your system? https://www.lexus-mapupdates.eu/Home/Index
  2. Get yourself some litmus papers (Amazon sells it ~£2) and test the areas to see if they are still acidic/caustic. If it is the seat will need stripping and neutralising, or at least stripping of all absorbent materials, before repair Could you post a slightly wider angle shot? It's difficult to orientate exactly where we are looking.
  3. I thought it was EU regs that a car alarm must reset after no longer than 30sec?
  4. So Lexus will not contribute, no goodwill? Pretty sure the seats are very specific to the RC. So only the dealership or perhaps a breakers yard. Might it be possible to retrim the damaged areas? Surely has to be the cheaper option.
  5. Probably because, by law, the speedo must never under-read. So to protect themselves Lexus build-in a good safety margin. Why is it so important the speedo is absolutely accurate?
  6. Sorry to gate-crash, not driving an F but for me it's Normal around town and Sport on the country/open roads. Never use Eco, turns the car into a slug on mogadon ....
  7. The water may have only been 2 feet deep but the forward motion of the car would have created a bow wave that could have possibly reached the intake? Don't think I would have driven though water that deep, certainly not in the RC never mind the hybrid ...
  8. The engine ingested some water through the air intake. As water isn't compressible it would stop the pistons rising and may bend the con rod(s) and/or blow the head gasket. If the engine was revving the sudden stop can damage the transmission as well
  9. I think the 'average speed' approach is the only real way to control speed. The usual spot check cameras just encourage drivers to brake and accelerate. The unwary get caught but the vast majority don't.
  10. Thread title is "Average Speed Cameras"?
  11. I suppose one can go past a camera in an average speed zone at way above the set limit as long as one doesn't arrive at the second camera too early!
  12. So, according to that PPG video Structural Blue isn't a 5 coat finish? And it reinforces the belief that panels cannot be "touched-up", the complete panel has to be resprayed, although they say it can be blended they still sprayed the whole panel with top coat. So my bonnet chip would still require the whole bonnet to be treated?
  13. On other cars I've had with auto-levelling the default in the absence (failure) of height data was extreme low i.e. pointing at the road about 2m in front of the car ... Undrivable.. There was just enough mechanical adjustment to bring them high enough to be usable. Not a comfortable drive home though.
  14. Regulations for private plates are the same as general reg plates, with the addition it (the private plate) cannot make the car appear younger than it's first reg date.
  15. Works well in the RC but then I don't have intelligent lights just plain auto dip. Are the NX lights intelligent, whereby individual LEDs go out to mask the car in front?
  16. Water can still enter the inlet manifold and be ingested next time the ICE fired up. Especially when that white van comes towards you creating a huge bow wave that washes over the bonnet
  17. I'd add Darkness on the Edge of Town and Wreck on the Highway... Or pretty much anything by The Boss
  18. You missed a 1 of the front of the mileage... Driver was on a break and had removed the taxi plate. 🤡
  19. Indeed correct.... That said my Sonic Red is the same but Lexus do offer a touch-up kit.
  20. I wonder if the dealerships withdraw and move on to another to keep the offerings "fresh"?
  21. Must admit to the understanding the value would be the same as when purchased?
  22. All I've found is this ... Exchange Policy Subject to the following terms and conditions, any vehicle purchased from a Lexus Centre ('the Centre') with Lexus Pre-Owned status ('the Vehicle') may be exchanged for another vehicle ('the Replacement Vehicle') at the same Centre, providing that: the Centre is satisfied that the Customer is a private purchaser (and not a trade purchaser or otherwise). the Centre is satisfied that, with the exception of fair wear and tear, the Vehicle is in the same condition as at the time of delivery to the Customer. the Vehicle is returned to the supplying Centre within 30 days of the delivery date. the Vehicle has covered no more than 1,000 miles since delivery to the Customer. the Centre is satisfied that the Customer owns the Vehicle and is fully entitled to exchange it under the Agreement. The Customer may choose any vehicle as the replacement vehicle, provided that: it is readily available at the same Centre, and it is of an equal or higher value than the original invoice price of the Vehicle. Before any exchange is effected under the Agreement, the Customer shall be responsible for making all the necessary arrangements relating to terminating, transferring, or taking out or otherwise dealing with the financing arrangements for the purchase of the original Vehicle and the Replacement Vehicle. Any exchange shall be subject to the Centre being satisfied with such arrangements. In particular if the original Vehicle is subject to a Hire Purchase Agreement, a new agreement must be completed and the relevant deposits paid by the Customer. Where the Customer has chosen a Replacement Vehicle with a higher price, the price difference must be paid to the Centre before the exchange takes place. The Customer will be responsible for any additional costs resulting from the exchange such as transferring insurance or personalised number plates. This Agreement only applies to the Vehicle purchased. Only one exchange will be considered and this Agreement shall not apply to any Replacement Vehicle. This Agreement does not affect any of the Customer's statutory rights. https://www.johnsonscars.co.uk/lexus/used-offers/approved-used-programme/
